Unless you havent got an answer already, you kill the boss by aiming for his heart (in his chest). All other shooting is of no use..I might be wrong though but I think thats it. Awesome game by the way...
I knew about the heart thing it's was just hard to do. But I did it what with the time limit, the constantly growing Beliar and no one to feed on. :) I uploaded the video as well. I found that grenades and rocket launcher work great. And of course heavy guns. I totally owned Beliar. lol.
I own this game.....it really fun...but the firt time i played i didnt know how to break doors down...it sucked...i was at the first door you have to break down for like 20 min...I know how now..lol
Well it's not exactly a 10/10 game. It's mostly just lots of hacking and shooting. I like it. But it really depends on what type of games you like. If you're not sure try renting it. That's always the best bet.
Yeah I'm not much of a Slipknot person, I just had this song and I liked it, and I thought it kind of matched the game. But I notice alot of the time for gameplay vids people complain about the song choice. :p There's just no pleasing some people. lol.
Maybe it's because people watch gameplay vids to see what the actual gameplay is like, not what it's like to watch a silent game with unrelated music music blaring out of the speaker.
In the future I think I'll include sound effects, it's doable. But youtube is a pain for music. :( I look up youtube all the time for gameplay. I don't care about the audio though. I wouldn't buy a game just because it sounded good. I think the reason for music gameplay vids is because chopped up footage sounds all miss matched and awful. Once I get my capture stuff back I'm going to focus on walkthroughs. I wouldn't mind trying to perfect a music/gameplay vid on the side though. Just for kicks.
I wouldn't buy a game just for the sound either, but often, the sound effects & music can make a good game even better. Or ruin a game if they're not done well.
Some games sound so good. Prince of Persia Sands of Time and Sphynx are some of my faves. So well polished. Mirrors Edge sounds good too. :) Tomb Raider Underworld is awesome for surround sound. Kya has the absolute worst voice acting ever and Blacksite sounded as bad as it played. I love the Silent Hill games, now they have great sound. :D Some games just don't seem to put much effort into sound, but it's a great way to make it more immersive. I love good music and background noises. :D LOVE.
I haven't played any really recent games. However as far as older games, American McGee's Alice has great sound and music, plus most of the voice acting is pretty good. The best game I've ever played in the sound department would have to be Thief: The Dark Project/Gold and Thief 2: The Metal Age. Great ambient sound and good voice acting.
I never played the Silent Hill games. The whole fixed camera angles aspect of "survival horror" games, really turns me off.
Fixed camera shouldn't scare you away from games. The camera isn't fixed all the time anyways. You just have to get used to it is all. Trust me once you get into the games you won't care. Personally I think the whole not being able to see much really adds to the game, keeps you scared of what you can't see. Some parts of the game have the creepiest sounds going on, but no monsters lol so you just can't relax. I love survival horror games they have the best sound. :D
The later classic Tomb Raider games had parts with fixed cameras, and I absolutely HATED those parts. Hard to maneuver around objects, can't see where you're going, can't get a close look at anything, etc.
Getting hit by something you can't see isn't scary, it's just cheap.
For me, it ranks right up there with games that don't allow you to save the game at any point. I refuse to play any game that only has checkpoints or makes you play the entire level before saving. They're too frustrating.
Fixed cameras in platforming games are a nightmare. Tomb Raider has the worst platforming camera, it always just zooms in on her butt so you can't see where the heck to go. Annoying. In Silent Hill you don't get hit by things you can't see, it's just you have a limited field of view. Aside from that there's the fog. You're not meant to be able to see much. Old PS1 games are a pain for that. It's hard going back. lol. I wish every game would have save anywhere. It makes things much easier.

I like it. :) It can get a bit repetitive though... but the swords and guns are fun. You don't see much sword and gun action nowdays. And you can bite people. Hmm.... haven't played it in a while so I don't know what to say. Maybe rent it, then you'll know for sure if you like it. :) Plus there's always BloodRayne 2... but it has a different kind of vibe again.
Do you like dark places where you can't see? Erm this game is set in the dark but it isn't nearly as obscured by fog as Silent Hill. This game has more of a horror action platform kinda vibe as compared to Silent Hill which is more of a survival horror. If you dig creepy games you should try Projcet Zero/Fatal Frame. If you like horror themed actions you should try BloodRayne and The Suffering. :) Lots of fun to be had.
Oh... well this game isn't that dark. It is pretty violent though. If you don't like Silent Hill then you'd hate Project Zero/Fatal Frame. lol. :p Erm... probably wouldn't like The Suffering either, it's scarier than BloodRayne. What kind of games do you like?

Hmm... a walkthrough might give me something worthwhile to do with my time off. :) Never done one before. :p I've finished Silent Hill 2, but not Silent Hill 4. I'm avoiding it because it scares me too! lol. It's way funner to play scary games with someone else there with you. Then you can laugh at each other getting scared. :) Project Zero/Fatal Frame is scary as hell. Not as cool as Silent Hill... but it is quite moody. I've been avoiding that one too. lol. The big daemite monsters? Yeah they're hard to beat. lol. I forgot about them. They take a while to wear down.
