i got on a hit and run accident last monaday and i was wearing joe rocket gloves and they smoked up i have burns oon my hads because the gloves didnt hold up would this gloves be thicker ?
@alonsomilon1 Yes this is a far more serious glove than the Joe Rocket line. In particular this S-1 is a race level short 3/4 glove for street riding. Very protective for sure. Buy good stuff and keep yourself protected
@sportbiketrackgear , what size would you recommend??, gloves look like the best ive seen so far getting my 1st bike and want all the protection i can get in the short glove market. so I measured my palm across my palm, I kno icon sizes it like that but for a 9in wide palm inbetween small and medium should i go bigger or smaller, idk if those gloves would stretch out at all? i kno you said one size bigger so im thinkin medium. but i want them to be really snug. thanks for you're time.
Great review as always i just wish Alpine stars would make a black product all black, stop the majority black and the white advertisement but I do like this glove
Great review, as always, I have to congratulate Brian for knowing exactly how to operate an internet business! Great reviews and great customer communication!
thanks for your reply about the helmet. i was wondering what you thought about this glove vs the alpinestars spx or any other gloves like those with the half gauntlet style with the outside wrist protector... im going to be riding a 600cc sport bike
This one is all leather with some perforation. The SP-X glove is part leather and part mesh. The knuckles on this glove is flexible and more comfortable, while the carbon knuckles on the SP-X are stiffer. If you want more ventilation in the city, go with the SP-X. But if you want more protection going on long rides with higher speeds, go with the S-1.
if anyone is gonna buy this glove make sure you buy it from sportbiketrack gear, cause all there alpinestar stuff is always on sale. I have this glove and the only thing i dont like about it is the velcro closure, it is horrible for a great glove they ruined it with the small velcro strap.
I just got these gloves. They fit well and quality is perfect. I used to wear for 2 years an rst high armor protection glove which suits quite well but these are far better even without the internal lining which the rst have. Protection is far more better and these can fit over your sleeve. I use an L size for the rst and had to go for 2XL if you go for the a*. Hope this helps.
Very good reviews.

why do motorcycle gloves have metal on the knuckles?
DoubleStack13 4 months ago
@DoubleStack13 These don't have metal knuckles; they're molded polyurethane.
1chi 3 months ago
@1chi I'm not talking about these I'm talking about gloves in general. And even molded polyurethane, why is it there?

is it normal that the knuckle protector does not go-over my knuckles perfectly?

How does this glove compare to the Alpinestar SP-X glove? Seems very similar. Thanks

if i wanted an all around short glove.
would you say these or the rst369's?
also, do you think that's fine for gloves or do you think i should also buy a full gauntlet for when i go faster. ( i do NOT ride track).

thanks kakitek.
i think i'll get these because it's a little bit longer than the RST369's.

Both the RS Taichi and this glove are excellent. I do feel the S-1 is perhaps more protective as it covers more.

How does this fit with a riding jacket? can it go over the wrist area or would it have to go inside?
fabrizioverga 2 years ago
Totally depends upon the jacket really. If your jacket works well with guantlet gloves you could go over
