The original cartoon it was better, I didn't care for this one. They changed the looks of Heat and Snow Miser to much. the same with Santa and Mrs. Claus they should have just have had them look as they did in the original cartoon. A Shame Dick Shawn passed away, it would have been cool to have Dick Shawn and George s Irving reunite for the cartoon voices of Heat and Snow Miser.

while this special isn't as good as the original, i still found it to be decent. it was surely not terrible but its problem is that it was a little too different. i mean common, the miser brothers were a tiny addition to "a year without a Santa Claus " and the special could have happened without them. also, could they really make a sequel to "a year without a Santa Claus "? i mean really? so I beg you to watch this special special again and not compare it to its predecessor and with new eyes.

The idea of the special was okay, but it didn't really fit with their characters. The Miser brothers didn't need a reason to fight one another, they are natural opposites. Snow Miser, Heat Miser, they are ment to fight.

george s. irving did the voice of heat miser in the original version and the 2008-he's in show bizz 60 years -he also narrated the original underdog cartoon-awsome voice

I loved the original film of this. And I like this movie, too. I just wish they could have found a voice that sounds a bit similar to Snowy's first voice. I know Dick Shawn, his original voice, is gone now. But this new voice sounds nothing like the old one. Which I prefer.

@WolfOfLightning I agree with you. I wish they did what Disney did for the Haunted Mansion Holiday. Since the original "Ghost Host", Paul Frees died a few years before it started, they got a replacement, Corey Burton. He sounds so alike Frees, some cant tell the difference .
