  • The 94-95 cobra is 240hp at the flywheel NOT the wheels your only looking around 195-215hp at the wheels

  • A stock cobra puts down 240 at rear wheels according to Ford.

The wheels are SPORTMAX 006 18x8 and 18x9.5 with the rears widdened from 9.5" to 11.25".

Cutouts do not leak at all and they have been on the car for 2 years now.

UPDATE*** In the spring of 2010 I had my car tuned after upgrading the fuel system and adding a multi-tune switch chip. With cutouts closed (#1 tune) it put down 410 HP and 419 TRQ.

With the cutous open (#2 tune) it up down 421 HP and 427 TRQ.

  • How much power does a 95 cobra put down stock?

Id like to know caus I might be getting 1.

  • what kind of rims are those?

  • I had QTP cut outs on my 04 GT 250 hp. I loved it.. Well I kinda upgraded to a Mach 1 with D1SC procharger making over 650. If i put cut outs on this mach will it fuck it up? Do i need the back pressure?>

  • i have a 97 svt and i have cut outs and i dyno'ed it and it made 302 to the wheels with them closed and 315 with them open and 5 more ft lbs with them off to i guess it depends on the car

  • hey does the cut out ever leak?

  • dude if you want your car to be loud, but still have power try the DNA mufflers, Dynocrap bullets, yknow not a real glasspack cause the only thing those are good for is tuning your sound lol. But some type of helical ring tube muffler will get the job done.

Cut outs are good for nitrous cars where backpressure isnt an issue cause you're gonna be higher up in the band all the way down the track, and you want your motor to just pump str8 through.

Like I said though, N/A cars need mufflers

  • Yes, there was a difference of 4hp.

    I LOST 4hp!!! Go figure?

  • so u lost hp because of opened cutout or closed?

  • yeah... you see there's this whole thing called backpressure, and for the most part, you NEED it on N/A motors. Mufflers = backpressure, backpressure = good thing

  • was there any difference in your numbers between opened and closed ?
