This is a selfish act that has nothing to do with politics and is very un-Canadian. If everyone did this, there would be great divide, as opposed to everyone being on the same page.

Canadian parliment has a wide range of people from different ethnicity and you don't hear them speaking their language. There are two offical languages in Canada: English and French, and it is only those two languages that must be spoken and addressed in Parliment.

I thought it was very brave of her to speak Tamil in the House of Commons and I congratulate her for that and what it means to many immigrants to Canada (not just Tamils). In my opinion, Canada has, and should only have two official languages: English and French. They were the two languages this nation was founded on; but, that does not mean we should ignore the other languages outright, or that people should lose that important part of their culture when coming to Canada.

Canadian parliment has a wide range of people from different ethnicity and you don't hear them speaking their language. In my opinion, Canada has, and should only have two official languages: English and French.
