Is was probably the most dynamic of the G1 American opening sequences. Way more going on here with the the Masters, Flywheels, Computron, just everything really. Very nice and flashy.

Shit this intro was awesome, too bad the 4th and final season was only 3 episodes, i was alwasy upset that they never officially gave Transformers a proper ending and instead left everything unresolved. Oh, and Galvatron is THE FUCKING MAN!

someone claimed that the show got cancelled in season 4, buttt there were more episodes then 3. if anyone has those episodes, share, plzzzzz. BTW this was the best intro, but yeah, without any episodes to back it up, it did look dumb.

It wasn't cancelled. They originally planned to do a full season 4 but the popularity of the series was falling so they changed it to just a mini-series. All eps they had planned & written were produced & aired.

In the US, there are no more eps of "The Transformers". The next thing is the G2 redeco of the G1 series, then the pilot for Beast Wars.

In Japan, they discarded Rebirth & made several additional series, starting with Headmasters. There are no (good) English dubs, only subtitled.

They ever brought Masterforce or Victory to the US, cause they used to show those in Mexico when I was a lil kid, but have never seen an English dub or sub

I don't understand why they made season 4. The graphics were really crappy (Optimus prime's helmet was black and looked like a swimming cap) and the opening theme was just made of season 3 shots or TF TV ad shots. And at the end of season 3, the autobots and decepticons were at peace. Then, wtf! galvatron (already cured of his madness) tries to get CYBERTON!!! Then ends up, decepticons lsot in space, Zarak says, "we shall see...." But do we see? no! They cut the shwo at that!

Too bad they didn't dubbed the G1 Transformers: Headmasters series which ignored Rebirth episode with the right actors Or bring it in the USA like they did with all other Transformers series like RID/A/E/C ans so on. :(

They should have picked up where this season left off instead of creating new continuities like the Unicron Trilogy.

By S4, they weren't even sure Transformers as a line was going to continue. The popularity was declining, they figured it had basically had its run and Transformers would finish after G2.

As controversial as it was, Beast Wars stirred up the interest in Transformers again. Note the BW logo, that the Transformers part is quite small; it was intended to distance it from the original Transformers.

Also remember that Armada was like 15 years after Season 3/4. They pretty much had to start again.

I now the show was initially killed off because of (lack of) popularity. I'm just saying I'd RATHER see them go back to the G1 continuity (even after 15+ years) than make subpar cartoons like RiD.

15 years is a generation. You can't pick up like nothing had happened. Actors have died, the engineering of the toys got far more sophisticated (ultimately it's a toy ad) and didn't match the old G1 toys.

They'd either have to mix the old (80s) with the new (00s), which would suck, or just do the new, which they did. And they can't retell the same stories over again, so you get a new take on the mythology. Voila, RiD/A/E/C.

Even within the same continuity, they'd have to start over again.

Looking back, the show definitely showed the most promise tha tit ever had with the Rebirth mini-series. Plus, the new toys were totally awesome. I mean, Fortress Maximus? THREE robots in one? And how HUGE he was!

He was resurrected in the Season 3 finale, and continued as Leader of the Autobots in the Season 4 mini-series.

Cool opening for the US cartoon for season four. To bad the popularity had died out, in the US, at the time. Would of liked to have seen them do more with season four then just Rebirth.
