Pastors want to mix religion and politics... tax free!

When the US was a secular State it was on one almost uninterrupted rise to greatness,and the economic collapse comes as the separation of church and state is being eroded. Is this just a coincidence or is it an effect of a government that is making decisions through the haze of religion instead of reason? I don't think I can name a country that is both run by religion and a world leader but can name many that are absolute hell holes of oppression why would we follow their example down that path?

I think both are stirring up an issue that does not exist. It is an old trick to bring up a court case and have one side playing both sides and the case ends up becoming a law in favor of the devils who stirred the issue.

The Roman Church is behind this. They would love to stop all speech that is against them and those they support. This would be a great way to elliminate the Protestant opposition. Protestant Churches do not receive or want Federal Funding.

The Roman Catholic Church which takes Government funding for many of its programs is behind this issue.

Most if any Protestant Churchs to not receive federal funding, but Catholic Comunity Services does which is a NON-Profet organization. They are involved with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and a host of Medical progams. They are all over the country.

It sort of happens by nature in speeches, but to make it official is as bad as those special religious colleges that breed students to go into politics just to christianise our government, putting their religion above the peoples wishes.

You don't have to give money to the church. It is encouraged but they don't tell you that you have to give. Considering all the taxes the government places on everything that you have to pay, I think politicians are the ones that really care only about money!

Also, the church has not and will not officially endorse a candidate. What they do ask is that there is an examination of conscience when deciding who to vote for. And I think that as long as life issues such as abortion, and gay marriage are a part of the political debate and are supported by the democratic party, we can not morally vote for them. This doesn't mean we should vote Republican because frankly they aren't the right choice either.
