The late Bishop Charles Watkins, of Cleveland, OH...may he R.I.P. taught us this song, "The Sound of Pentecost", (I'm not sure, but I think that he wrote it); in the late sixties at The International PAW Convention, The International Mass Choir in L.A., CA. It really brings back wonderful memories. God please continue to bless your children, COGIC, PAW, what ever name hangs on their church sign.
I HEAR THE SOUND OF PENTECOST, HOLY GHOST FIRE FALLING, ALL OVER THIS WORLD!!!!
GOD BLESS YOU GNC Jurisdiction, from your Brother in Christ from the California Northwest Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, were the Bishop W.W. Hamilton, is the Presiding Prelate
Tried 2understand that. But I think our leaders (not bible but modern) Have not taken us far enough N2 the word actually should have back tracked N taught us that the word Pentecost = the fiftieth day
It is the second of the three great bible feasts, celebrated @ Jerusalem yearly, the seventh week after the Passover, in grateful recognition of the completed harvest. But we have a PaganTh'giving day. The word Pentecost has nothing2 do w/a denomination but harvest. The bible never call us that
Pentecost is the memorial of the giving of the law at Sinai, and the giving of the Israelites to the Lord, that is why they gave the firstfruits of their harvest, because it represented them (Jer.2:3). At Sinai after the giving of the law, 3000 people died Ex.32:28; but in Acts 2:41, 3000 people got saved from that Pentecost. the Law was written on tables of stone at Sinai, but now the law was written in our hearts by the Holy Ghost in Acts 2.
In Acts 2, the bible basically speaks of when the day of Pentecost was fully come...then there came a sound from heaven as of rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house...Remember Jesus blew a wind on the disciples saying 'recieve ye the Holy Ghost' this was the fulfillment. As the old testament highpriest walked in the temple his sound was to be heard by the bells on his robe, gifts of the Spirit. The Spirit of Jesus came into our lives with the sound of Pentecost with tongues.
I use to live in Fayetteville about 30 years ago. Do anyone know if Pastor BE McNeil is the pastor on Sapona Rd - COGIC. I use to worship under Elder CD McNeil when he was alive. .... just asking!!!
This was way before the Bishop decided to run. He is a dynamic man of God and such remarks are not of God. May God bless Bishop Woolard and everything he touches.
