PS3 servers were overrun. They shut them down so that they could add more. if you're on the 360, over 1 million were modded and hacked, so they were banned.

@TheXpected2  They announced yesterday that PSN was going down for scheduled maintenance. MW2 had nothing to do with PSN going down. As for the problems with MW2 online, well thats the games fault not PSN.
