I come from a regions close to "le plateau des Glières", people there were French and resistant.Not ONLY foreigners defended France and dyed, at Oradour sur Glane i don't think there was a lot of foreigners...Finally my father was a French "Gendarme" he showed me the "main courrante" of his brigade during WW2...

I just saw this movie. It was terrific! If you really want to watch a good film about anti-Nazi resistance, watch Army of Crime. Other good ones are Flame and Citron, Uprising, Black Book, and Soldier of Orange. But none of the above in my opinion live up to Army of Crime.

The idea that the French were full of partisans is the biggest lie. In fact there were more collaborators than partisans. While there were partisans in France they did not have as much effect as say the Polish undeground. At least the Poles had the balls to stand up to the Nazis in both Uprisings This movie is a fairytale..
