why do people always have to be so ignorant? Slows is a good place, where a lot of black people eat at btw, including myself.

well ive been here several times and its hands the best bbq ''and sides'' ive ever had the only down side is the 2+hour wait to get a table on the weekends but, it is well worth the wait and probably the best tasting bbq food in Michigan everyone ive taken here has been impressed

just checked this place out the other day out of curiousity and it blew me away! great food great atmosphere! just please expand so I wont have to wait an hour next time... the wait is WELL worth it though.

I love Slows BBQ, the atmosphere and food is outstanding. If you are ever in the Downtown area check this place out. I highly recommend it, the location is in Corktown on Michigan Ave. near the old Train station.

I used to hang out in that area back in the 70's. As a matter of fact, I got busted for skipping school back in 79 by the cops on Michigan Ave. and 14th St., which the corner that building sits on.

This restaurant truely deserves to be listed as one of the BEST of Detroit. The food is awesome (pork is the specialty)... the prices are great. The beer selection is large. One minor complaint... the parking is limited (so car pool, "you come to eat, not park"). The staff has always been fantastic. My friends and I have gone MANY times for Lunch and a few times for Dinner... always a satisfying experience.
You MUST go and try these guys.
