We took a 2002 monte ss and put a 4 link under it, installed race shocks, we tunneled the undercarraige to convert it to rear wheel drive so it could handle the major hp. As for the motor it is just a typical 350 small block with a holley 800 cfm carb and we put twin turbos on it. It is not finished yet but when it is i will post a video of it. The tranny is just a run of the mill 6 speed manual. We plan to keep the boost around 10 lbs but it can go up to 25 and make in upwards of 1000 hp

we thought about it but wanted to stick with the stock frame. hp is gonna depend on boost pressure..anywhere from 500 to 1000+. the tranny isn't stock, i forget what kind it is but i''ll find out next time i'm over there. we are still trying to decide on the rear end, it is just gonna be a cruising car with some get up and go so we're not gonna put drag gears in it. all in all the car actually is pretty supped up but i'm not positive on some of the stuff..i'm only 15 so i'm still kinda new to it

yeah theres fools puttin the factory supercharger on their regular SS, but you really dont get much power for it, I would save up and get a good one or a turbocharger, gonna run you a few racks but its worth it

Hey it's all time and money. What level you want to take it to? If your after the initial bang for the buck, do a cold air intake,larger diameter exhaust system and reflash the computer for performance parameters and call it good. After that ZZP Performance has lots of parts and a decently priced turbo kit to bolt on. Have fun. My cardomain site has more info. Type in "ZIPPY01" in the search bar and my car will show up. Hey hello, another Monte man cool. They are the Magnaflow Performance exhaust mufflers. Find them on their web site under Race / Speciality Series. Part number 14159, they do have different sizes. Maybe Flowmaster and Magnaflow have a site where you can hear a sound clip of the exhausts. take care bud, wish there were kore Monte's out here to run with.

Hey bud, well the sound is from the exhaust with the cut out open and then through the Cat and mufflers. It is a fully built motor thats why it sounds like it does. The Turbo adds the whistle sound as it's idiling. The hood vent is fully functional. The underside shot with the hood up might let you see the built in air channels and the air exit port. The a new exhaus and cam were tops on my To-Do list..possibly going with a top swap and putting on the stock supercharger that came after 2004 i believe. But for a 3800, this car sounds amazing. No idea how much money you spent and I know I cant afford it yet but this is probably my favorite Monte of all time. LOVE the sound.

Hello, well I tried to find them again for everyone and it appears they are out of production. Something about the amber lense delete made them illegal. I wrote a few suppliers and it's the same story. Stupid if you ask me, an amber bulb does the job for signaling. I'll have the manufacturers box, will write them and see if they may perhaps produce a couple dozen sets for us. Never hurts to ask.
