hayley, i feel your pain. this guy guy at my camp this summer who saw people hanging out, went back to his dorm room, changed out of his "super-poetic" Mick Jagger shirt into a flannel shirt that he only buttoned up to his ribs (cause when it's 90+ degrees outside, don't skip the flannel shirt all together, but instead leave it unbuttoned so we can bask in your skinny glory), haul his guitar over, plop a cigarette into his mouth, and start playing songs he wrote about all the sex he has.
I went to look at a school for maybe doing my Masters and there was this guy I kept seeing around everywhere. He had on a read sweater, a neon green and black checked scarf, a newsboy hat, boat shoes, denim jacket and was carrying his guitar in a soft case on his back (note lack of actual school related supplies). My first reaction was bad then I kept seeing him. He was everywhere! Long story short not going to that school.

There was this guy at my choir camp who brought his acoustic guitar with him. Now I know you think since it was choir camp and music related that this is normal, but it was SO annoying. I go to summer camp and one of the older boys just HAPPENED to bring his guitar on the ferry (The camp is off the mainland.) he just started plating last month and I doubt he had any sort of lessons. So when he's not forced to do something, he just sits there playing his guitar. Some free time before lunch? Playing his guitar. people are playing soccer? Playing his guitar. He also gets so mad when somebody tells him that he can't play here. Come on.

I`m not sure I agree about the guitar thing, though. It`s true sometimes the person playing it is playing to themselves but most of the time when someone picks up a guitar a bunch of people group around that person and sing-along, and that could be really fun at most parties. PREACH SISTER!
I went to look at a school for maybe doing my Masters and there was this guy I kept seeing around everywhere. He had on a read sweater, a neon green and black checked scarf, a newsboy hat, boat shoes, denim jacket and was carrying his guitar in a soft case on his back (note lack of actual school related supplies). My first reaction was bad then I kept seeing him. He was everywhere! Long story short not going to that school.

What ya wanna do, see, is go all "Animal House" on him... walk up to him, listen for a couple of seconds, then yank the guitar out of his hands and smash it on the wall right above his head, just to show that it *could've* been his face, but it wasn't.

There was this guy at my choir camp who brought his acoustic guitar with him. Now I know you think since it was choir camp and music related that this is normal, but it was SO annoying. With each new song we learned, he would raise his hand and say, "Um, Ms. Jena, I would be happy to accompany the choir with my guitar in this song,". I wanted to shoot a squirrel I was so annoyed.

I go to summer camp and one of the older boys just HAPPENED to bring his guitar on the ferry (The camp is off the mainland.) he just started plating last month and I doubt he had any sort of lessons. So when he's not forced to do something, he just sits there playing his guitar. Some free time before lunch? Playing his guitar. people are playing soccer? Playing his guitar. He also gets so mad when somebody tells him that he can't play here. Come on.

I`m not sure I agree about the guitar thing, though. It`s true sometimes the person playing it is playing to themselves but most of the time when someone picks up a guitar a bunch of people group around that person and sing-along, and that could be really fun at most parties. That being said, I used to love Wonderwall and now I hate it, so maybe it`s not so great after all.

There was this guy I went to college with that would sit in the hallway and either play "Hotel California" by the Eagles or "F*ck Ge Gently" by Tenacious D. He was bad at it. I called him "Bad Singing Mike" (his name was Mike) behind his back once and the nickname stuck. I'm not sorry for that.

Hayley, How can you so inspiring-ly understand the depths of my heart? I understand. I get you. my life = understood by you too. I liked this guy because of his guitar skillz, then COME TO FIND OUT! he knows 3 chords. The EASIEST 3 chords. I know a different- harder- instrument and more chords than he does. Why why WHY did I think he was cool? Stupid Poser. Oh Halyey. How I understand the troubles of girlhood.
