  • I am absolutely staggered by how beautiful his music is, i was a young man of 22 when he performed these songs, but looking back i must have been neolithic not to see how wonderful he was. "The best is yet to come"? That will be playing when they scatter my ashes.

  • Pure magic, everyone should know this man & his music, particularly this lovely song.

  • I'm a big fan of Clifford T Ward too. 10 years today since he passed away, RIP.

  • This guy wrote and played the most fantastic music. The best is yet to come is not only my favourite of his but also my favourite song of all time.

    Nickola

  • This mans songs were - and are WOW! Noel Edmonds did one real good thing in introducing this man to the radio and music world. He was the man whose shows I heard CTW's stuff on first and most played. So for all the slagging you get Mr Edmonds. Thanks for Cliiford T Ward.

  • Very well put together ,have never heard of Clifford so a new singer to research ,bet you got loads of snow all the from down south

  • Just the very best of songs... It's way up there isn't it. So well written and performed with real feeling.

  • Wonderful song and my all time favourite; The Best of the Best Clifford.,Thank you .

  • Cliff was immensely proud of this song. Surprisingly it failed to make the top 100 in spite of some decent airplay. Cherish it.!

  • A Great man

  • @carlsburgh Thanks mate - this is one of my favourite songs of all time, and needs re-releasing. Have a great week!

    Tony :-)

  • Please pass this one on. There are special reasons which I shall reveal very soon. In the meantime, the song needs to be heard!

RIP Clifford - one of the gems of ballad-writers! x

  • I love this. One of my favourites though, is "Gaye" - I remember listening to it in my teens, on a camping trip with my parents, with my hear pressed to the radio and Radio Luxembourg crackling away!

  • @mymagnoliatree I so miss Luxembourg - the good old days before the bland stuff with which we are bombarded now!

  • @mymagnoliatree so true i remember listening to luxembourg and hoping it wouldnt fade in and out like it did when favourite songs such as this came on ..so different now of course not sure if better though..

  • Nice video. Well done. Fabulous song
