Thank you for the beautiful music. I had never heard them before :( Found them while listening to my Deep Purple and looking for related music...and up they came. Wow! Thank goodness for YouTube and people who upload great groups. They make me think of Apocalyptica, another great group. Saw them last year in Quebec. Fantastic!!

I saw Mark O'Connor in my home state of NC at a bluegrass festival called "Merle Fest" got to talk to him for a couple min's. His face lit up when I mentioned seeing him with the Dregs...lol Nice guy....
Yes Unsung is hard to find. I had a copy on cassette when it first came out, and when it finally gave up the ghost that was it..gone! Haven't heard this in 20+ years but every cord, lick, modulation, bass lick, guitar lead came right back to me.... *tear*...lol .....amazing shit!.. Saw them live when Andy West, Mark O'Connor, ect ect were all together.... those were the days....
It took me a long time to find this CD again. Arista Records won't let The Dregs re-distribute it even though Arista has been bankrupt and closed for years. They own the distribution rights, so they get to make that decision as wrong as it is. I found this CD on Ebay as a Japanese import. Even has Japanese writing on the liner! Paid $8.00 for it w/ shipping.
Thanks for posting. One of my favorites.

@Lightmane321 me too. In fact I have the all their albums through industry standard. Maybe they'll be worth something someday
chillichomper 1 year ago
@chillichomper I doubt it, but they're worth something to 'you'. That's all that matters.

Holy crap - it's been 20 years since I last heard this, and I've NEVER forgotten that beautiful melody, incredible.
Wonder what Steve & Dave Matthew's band could do together?

does it have words?

The Dregs music doesn't need any words or vocals. Their instruments "sing" better than any human being on this planet

Thank you so much! Been looking for this for a very long time!
Superior homage to the classics--and even better than Mason Williams.

That is so bad. I am so glad to find this again. I had the tape back in 81 too, used to blast around in my flatbed Ford with this playin'.
