  • You are cracking them up in heaven ----RIP Mr. Dangerfield.

  • He-e-ey, no respect! My doctor, Dr. Vinny Boombotz, told me I've only got a year to live--'But if you're REAL lucky, Rodney, maybe six months!'

  • @therealjoebloggs he died awhile ago.

  • @mbrk6827 Yes, he did, may he RIP. The joke, however, was in keeping with the kind of humour he did. In fact, just before his passing, he went into hospital for a heart operation. Reporters asked him how much more time the operation would give him. Rod, characteristically, answered: "A few years, if I'm lucky; if I'm not, two weeks", turning around the Dr. Vinny joke.

  • o_O you're beautiful

  • "How many times you see out in the street, a Tall Handsome man, walking arm in arm with a short, fatuglygirl (Pause) I never saw that, did you ever see that?!" I love it!!!

  • "Ooh, somebody step on a duck?"

  • RIP, Rodney, one of the best comedians in Las Vegas, where he could get a little more X-rated, and the audiences would explode laughing.

  • @Merlin5by5 --------good pt. Rodney didnt have to be x-rated or even off color---he was just plain funny.

  • I'm 40 and I haven't made a ton of money and Rodney didn't "make it" until his mid 40's or early 50's. It's gotta make you put things into perspective and keep trying to succeed! Rodney was a TRUE inspiration!

  • My first date with my wife was at a Rodney Dangerfield show. And we've been happily married for 27 years!

  • Rodney was a genius.

    I miss him.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • His light blue shirt is probably stems from the fact that they would wore light blue shirts in the days of black and white television when white shirts were too "hot" under the bright lights.

  • Classic Rodney Dangerfield.

  • Classic Rodney Dangerfield

  • He didn't start using the 'no respect' line until "The Godfather" came out.

  • King of Comedy RIP.

  • WOW I click on Ed Sullivan to see Ed Sullivan, but I see everyone else but Ed Sullivan. How can You have an Ed Sullivan Channel, but you don't show Ed Sullivan?

  • RD was always funny as hell, a true comic. You couldn't help laugh at his self-deprecating jokes.

And truth be told, he got more respect than most of us could ever dream of.

  • so old but good quality

  • I was soo ugly- when I was a Baby my Parents made me sleep in the Kitchen too keep the Roaches away! RIP RD

  • I was a little kid when Rodney Dangerfield used to come on Ed Sullivan's show. And I remember thinking "I wonder why everybody hates this guy" not realizing it was his act. And then a couple of years later when he started appearing on the Tonight Show quite often I thought he was terrific. I still do. RIP Rodney. You're making God laugh now.

  • a true Legend

  • @AutumnSplendors - Same with me. When I first saw him (probably around the first time this clip aired), I thought, "Who is this unfunny guy?" But the more I watched Rodney over the years, the funnier he got. Extrememly funny man who has been missed.

  • 20 people are jewish

  • I also loved RD. My wife can't stand him (at least his type of comedy). I loved everything he ever did or any movie he was in. He was one of the oldie's but goodies :)

  • LOVE RD

    THE MAN

  • Rodney Dangerfield was one of the best stand up comedians of all time. Not because of his jokes, but because he knew how to deliver them with perfect timing. And his nervous twitches made him even funnier.

  • This guys really cool.

  • not from this first look. FUNNY

  • a fuckin legend

  • I was making love to this girl the other night. She started crying. I said "Are you gonna hate yourself in the morning"? She said "No I hate myself now".

  • Yeah, it seemed Rodney was on every other week, along with the guy who spun the plates.

  • RIP RD! one of a kind.

  • Rodney got a lot of mileage out of some of his material. I saw him live in 1982 and he told that last joke. It still got a big laugh.

  • No respect, I tell ya

  • rodney's the man!!!!

  • Brad Garrett's hero!

  • Listen up Hollywood, I think it's high time that Rodney dangerfield got his respect. How about it? He damn well deserves to have his story told.

  • In the words of Mr. Rodney Dangerfield; "I Get No Respect"!

  • Brilliant man!!

  • WE LOVE YOU MAN!

  • "Boy, I tell ya, I don't get no respect, not even up here in Heaven! For years, my Christian friends said Jesus loves you, Jesus loves you. I get here, and I find out he only likes me as a friend! And everybody else got a golden harp. Me, I got a tin tuba! No respect at all!"

when did i say anything about wings?

and i am young, 14. i like your username by the way.

  • EASY MONEY GREAT MOVIE

  • They wont post the whole viedo, because they want you to buy the DVd, it all about making money, botton line

  • Fifty-Seven seconds of a stand-up routine is kinda useless or at the very least completely disrespectful to the man who spent time writing and honing this act. How bout posting the whole thing?

  • Im sure they are thinking, why don't you buy the DVD set and then watch it all, lol.

  • I respect the lengendary Rodney Dangerfield, so it's totally worth it to buy this on a DVD. Why do sime people want everything for free these days? There are thousands of free videos you can watch on YouTube, but apparently that is not enough. Instant gratification and the sense of entitlement... so obsessive some people can be these days...

  • @HunterMann Too bad these DVDs consist of best of clips not complete episodes as they were meant to be seen.

  • I agree, always best to get the full episodes. I even enjoy the old TV commercials, but they are edited out, naturally.

When a studio or distributor hold the re-run & home video rights to shows, they re-publish them the way they want, often times promising that there are "12 big shows on one DVD!", giving the false illusion, since they have edited the shows down to shorter content.

The website called Hulu really destroys great old TV shows, like Green Acres edited down to just 6 minutes. Boo!

  • good old rodney!!

  • NICE! the MASTER! R.I.P. Rodney
