I think I'd recognize any of them if I saw them today. To me they don't look that different - just older, and obviously they made it through their awkward stages.
"Why can't the BBC get a real child to play the part of Peter, instead of the overgrown, pompous, ...(what is Richard (Peter) saying here?)... dwarf?"
HahaXD I love it when he says that. Makes me laugh every time. But no matter what I do I never hear that ONE word, and it drives me crazy:P
You can actually see who's who, even when they've grown and look different!!
I tought Richard(Peter) was more good looking than Jonathan(Edmund). He still is! Sophie W.(Lucy) is more prettier then she was back in 1988!! She still look very normal. Sophie C.(Susan) Is still the same: Pretty!
I wonder if they ever got interviewed after the new films came out, or better yet, I wonder if they got cameos in the new films - just for the "Hey isn't that ..." reaction
Did you notice that Sophie now kind of sounds like Georgie? Just a little bit? Maybe it's my mind playing tricks on me, but her voice now reminds me of Georgie's voice...
I'd like to know what they think of the new actors of the Chronicles of Narnia!
And Sophie Wilcox is really pretty now. Most 13-year-olds look a little funky, but they're usually the ones that turn out to be the most gorgeous in the end. I guess Sophie's a classic example!
I loved this series when i first saw it when i was little and i still do now !.I have it on dvd too, although, unfortunately, i dont have the dvd with this reunion on it, so thanks for posting it !.
By the way, does anyone remember through the dragon's eye ?.I loved that series too, and that's also on youtube !.
I know the effects/make up in this older series are silly at times, but I still prefer them over the new movie versions. I'm a sucker for a good British children's story (the cornier, the better), and the old CoN BBC production hits the spot. Both the unabridged audio books and abridged radio theatre spots are wonderful too. Great memories - love it. Thank you!
when you get the close up of their faces you can sort of see them, as their movie selves but i think the guy who played Peter you can really see the 14 year old kid
god yeah! i watched the bbc narnia in primary and we all played it in the playground. all the girls wnated to be susan cause she was pretty but because i was called lucy, they told me i could play her so everyone teased me for it. I don't care now!!!
That was quite nice :) We don't get any magical kids dramas nowadays. Te new ones are so desperate to modern and flashy they forget what makes a story so good, but thankfully the writer/director of this Narnia remembered!
Plus I must admit to fancying Dempsey a little bit :)
so true. i can't watch the new narnia films, ive watched the bbc version so many hundreds of times that i find the new ones very annoying. they pale in comparison
This is FANTASTIC. Thanks for putting this up. I always wondered what they looked like now or what they did after the show - for YEARS! I did see "Lucy"/Sophie doing a bit part in a movie called "Deep Blue World" - a good movie - set during WWII about Czech pilots who came to Britain and flew for the RAF.
Don't freak, Soph; they were Bibles, not expired wheels of cheese. (Someone from "Blake's 7" got cheese from a fan which apparently went off during its journey)
YES! Finally Someone Put The Interview & Extra's Online For The BBC Narnia Series. For Years People Been Talking About The Interview & Extra's On The DVD Set.
However In The USA All We Got For Extra On The DVD Sets Where Photo Stills & Recipe For Turkish Delight. Thanks It Great To Finally Be Able To See These As I Like Hundred Of Other 80's Kids Grew Up With These Movies.
When I was 10, Edmund in Voyage of the Dawn Treader was considered The Hotness. You know the part where he says "Shut up, worm" to Eustace? Yeah, we quoted that all the time. lol.
Does any one notice how british actors are more proper and have more character and integrity then american actors do?

I guess Lucy got braces or had some dental work done, there's no overbite to be seen!
rhiannonatlarge 2 years ago
lol! It would have been an overbite if her teeth had pointed down. They stuck out straight forward!

Looks like Lucy grew into that face, she used to look real horrorshow.
Susan looks as good as ever.

There was a running gag in the BBC Radio version of VDT which was Edmund and Lucy yelling in perfect unison "Eustace-- shut up!!!"
