I am from west africa and i realise every country the british colonised (including ours) are usually very similar and what i love is the fact that we all wear school uniforms (UNLIKE SOME OTHER PUBLIC SCHOOLS in some other country). If u are from africa or carribean and there are good sch systems its best to start your kid off going to school there and then let them attend university international - but i believe when they start out its best to be home

Because that is clearly NOT english but it is some form of human communication that I still understood.
This happens often when languages come into contact and it's the reason we have French, Romanian, Spanish all from Latin but different.
In the Carib, it's mostly African + Euro tongue = patois, hatian creole, papiamentu..etc: young languages.

can you give me a few examples of authentic j'can vernacular? The dialect is easy to understand.I had a coworker once who spoke very little english.When we went out to restuarants we has to translate for her,but her boss understood everything she said after a very short period,but that woman could not switch from the dialect to standard english easily,because of that she got no promotions and was stuck in a low paying position.

My father's family is from Moore Town a maroon town in eastern Jamaica and the maroon creole is deeper than ours in the rest of the island. It is possible that at one time we all spoke that way but they still do. And good job bud u proved u can read a dictionary...

Him is REFERRING to what? a PERSON,so the key word Referring instead of directly addressing the person(noun)is what makes a pronoun what it is: an indirect reference while a noun is direct SO: Lisa picked up the pen and She picked up the pen... not much of a difference is there? She replaced Lisa, but we are still addressing the same thing which is the noun so don't talk like you were born speaking English I learned it just like you. It's a different form of a noun

lol pronoun is still a noun just used in a differnt way anyway my bad, but many languages have generic PROnouns and other forms of nouns to refer to both sexes and and different ppl..like the spanish "su" can mean hers, his, yours...it depends on the sentence surrounding...when i hear "interesting" it sounds to me like a hint sarcasmt sorry.

the jamaican dialect is not patios, which is a french dialect.the jamaican dialect is just broken english and a few words of african origin. what I find amazing is they want to upgrade it to a language.some even call it the mother tongue. 'me a go a town' not a language just broken english.
