A brilliant performance from O'Toole (another one), and could they have made a weirder casting decision for the role of Lucky? Out of all the choices they could have made, Railsback?
Fantastic film. O'Toole uses his shouting to good effect, but a great job. Whatever happened to Railsback? Also really appreciate the absurdities of the film, the constant suspense, and grotesque humor like Nathaniel West. Hilarious and wickedly clever. Worth seeing.
been years since i saw this. o'toole is sooo over the top. but man what timing, just out of this world. you only have to look at how riled up the projectionist guy is trading lines with peter. crazy performance, crazy film.
His best performance! Now if you could just post the scene where the camera runs out of film, I'd be a happy man! O'Toole is on FIRE in that scene! What a FANTASTIC FILM! Thanks for posting!

a charleston is ridiculous
exactly
O'Toole is pure gold in every role he takes, too bad the academy has really failed to recognize him.

I hear that friend, an over ambitious and terrible actor. Some people just don't have it, but then again... he was method.

Railsback was utterly convincing in the role of Lucky.

O'toole's greatest performance, the voice and the mannerism are pure David Lean. I even took my username from the character.

seems bias coming from you.

Peter's doing David Lean, just for the record.

Railsback played Charles Manson in a cheesy Manson family flick. I saw him on the X-Files, but he hasn't shown his face much in the mainstream.

He also had a bit part in Clint's In the Line of Fire.
