  • please answer!!! I recently purchased a GCC, and at first i thought he was feather plucking, but as the feathers fell out, they were white and tiny. At the time I had owned him for 1 day, and he had no reason to be unhappy. is what im spectating molting?

  • i have a handtame cockatiel but i cant get him to let me touch his wing, is there any way i can train him to let me?

  • Yeah I got a Senegal Parrot also which my sister gave me not son long ago... She use to bite me everyday, but she is doing good right now ! and yes it purs... Really cute to hear ! I really don't know if it's a guy or a girl though ?

  • Do all Senegal's eyes turn that bright yellow when they mature? I was considering buying one, and the one that I'm looking at has grey eyes. It's still young, but I'm wondering if it's eyes will turn yellow.

    Thank you!

  • @beardeddragonman22 Not really. It's more like putting her beak on my finger and giving a bit of a squeeze but it doesn't bleed or hurt. She's just more snappy.

  • @kiliparrot what female parrots arent snappy? :D

  • As I hope to get a parrot soon and I know cost can be a big issue. I was wondering, how much are vet visits for parrots?

  • @Eaglesfaninca can be 3 to 4 times what it costs to bring a dog/cat

  • Can Kili still fly?

  • @emilygclarinet i would imagine a molting bird can still fly, picture what they do in the wild!

  • @emilygclarinet She can but barely. She used to be able to fly ok when she had four primaries on the bad wing but now she is down to just one. She can fly across the room but it's so difficult that she rarely wants to. This is why recall flight training and flighted tricks have pretty much come to a halt because with so few feathers the effort to fly isn't worth the treat to her.

  • @ 0:34 she sounds like she's purring!

  • @NikiPaprika just like kitty cat :D

  • @NikiPaprika she is purring. my green cheek conure purrs all the time and sometimes even my senegal parrot. you can really hear Kili purr at 1:18

  • Im happy shes growing a little bit of primary feathers :)

  • you can see in her eyes how much she loves the beak pet
