hey like ur videos but i dont like ur rotations shudnt use starfire unless eclipse in boss fights takes 2 long and get more shots away with wrath

and i use crit>haste becuase crit gives u 20% casting time increase with talent check my video i pull 6.7 k single target with buffs

@xxTJ4rlxx Shouldn't use starfire unless in a boss fight? Are you commenting on the two old rotations or the twisting we do now? I believe by what you said you didn't read the first part of the video where it says this info is pre 3.3. There is already another video out there that explains this information.

As for single targeting, 6.7k with buffs is really nothing. If you are taking about a target dummy with no buffs, no starfall and no treants, 7k should be an easy push.

alright well u think using crit > haste for gems is better becuase of u get 20% increase with the talent ?

@xxTJ4rlxx if you are under 400 haste, haste > crit, above 401 haste you see more wrath clipping which makes crit= haste. It comes down to personal preference. With IceCrown Gear, you become haste heavy as is, so most people gem spell/crit for yellow for most of the socket bonuses. In the end, its all about balancing.

@atekido No, this is pre 3.3 information when you could only proc 1 eclipse every 30 seconds. MRB 5 has information on the twisting.

You can always put it in first, most people do. I started the basic rotation for this video. But it is no longer usable in the current 3.2 patch since we now twist.

HOw much dps are you putting out with the max dps rotation? And which one was the max dps rotation?

I can put out anywhere between 5k-6k8k depending on the fight, how much movement and RNG luck. Also, there is no real max rotation now that Ulduar is out due to the changes to Solar and our 4pc bonus of t8.

Glyph of Starfall for 3d glyph ftw. Reduce cooldown on starfall is realy nice (much better than losing the 3% miss chance off of insect swarm) Yes, it ups DPS for us, but doomkins are also ment to be a raid buff class still.

Please be reminded, this is pre 3.1 Info. Before Ulduar, the Starfall glyph was terrible and definitely not worth it. Now it is a toss up between using that or the starfire glyph. Both are personal choices and both have their uses.

tested and proved, boomkins with higher crit out dps boomkins that theory crunch and think that haste is better. there is also a rotation not shown here that has a higher dps output than any shown, but i'll leave that one as a mystery , a boomkin secret ;)

Stacking crit is just making RNG your friend, also has diminishing returns, meaning in a longer fight, haste will over-rule it. Either way, this is pre 3.1 info and with 3.1 out, Solar eclipse can do just as much as Lunar. So now its personal Preference.

Lunar= Haste

Solar=Crit

I have been plying wo for 2yrs now off and on and in the military my moonkin is 77 almost 78 and I love it so im absorbing all of the Knowledge that is possible but I am not really worried bout all this till I hit 80 but it is nice to know

RNG is Random Number Generator, for example, whenever you go to stratholme and kill baren rivendare you have a 1/100 chance of getting the mount, thats the RNG

Why is the Glyph of Moonfire better than Glyph of Focus, as you said yourself that Glyph of Moonfire only gives a very small DPS increase.

The Glyph of Moonfire comment is a big dps increase over not being glyphed for it. However, glyphing for it and specing IMP MF only allows a .5%dps increase ontop of that since IMP Moonfire and the Glyph do not stack.

question about that last rotation, when your wrath crits its not 100% chance to proc moonfire so i found my dots ran out before eclipse do i reaply? and what rotation do you use i found the last one good if you have high crit rather than haste as starfire crits pretty much everytime and therefore reduces caste time by 0.5 secs

If all your dots run out before wrath procs starfire, you just reapply. If your crit is that low, you should look into getting it up. However, if its just RNG messing with you, there is nothing you can do.

Say I apply MF, IS then spam wrath. Starfire refuses to proc. If I go through a second rotation of wrath spam and starfire refuses to proc, I ignore the fact that I have Eclipse completely and go to the highest Dps rotation without using starfire. MF, SFx3 /Is, Wrath xN. But thats just me.
