Wow! This song is so entrancing in Russian and the music just heightens it to a higher level! Could anyone put up the lyrics to this song? I know that there are the lyrics in Russian letters in the discription, but in English letters, could someone post the lyrics? I would be forever thankful!
I heard Axl Rose of Guns N' Roses got his inspiration for the song This I Love, a piano-driven ballad from this song... is it true? Even if it isn't, the songs are remarkably similar... 0_0
That reminds me, I've been in Russia. Still thank you, it's my first time hearing this. Although Im half Russian half American. My Dad is from the Turkmen S.S.R, my mom from the regular Russian federation. When they moved here I was born. I speak both lanagauges. Still thank you both =).
Actually "Ti smert moya" is you are my7 death. But I'm actually nopt sure about gibel. I'm Russian, but I never heard of this word in my life. Maybe you could be right, I'm not sure.
really? never heard "gibel'"? it's more like "you are the death of me," not "my death". Gibel' is more like a reason, cause of death than the death itsself... :S hard to explain. it's also used as a synonym for smert', but is more sophisticated.
Wow, that's so strange! You must have never lived in Russia, or left very young =)
Have you at least heard the word "pogibnut"? It's derived from "gibel", just like "umeret" is from "smert". But unlike "smert", which is physical death, "gibel" is also used as destruction, downfall, ruin. Moreover, if 'gibel" is used for physical death, it can never be natural; has to be an accident or something.
i think this word exists also in finnish as "kiipeli". for example "olla kiipelissä" means to be trapped, somewhere where its impossible to escape etc. Maybe there is a same root? :D funny!
I don't speak Finnish, so I wouldn't know, but it is very interesting! I'm always fascinated by such parallels between languages. However, Finnish and Russian are from very different language groups that have nothing in common. Maybe geography played its part. Or maybe it's just a funny coincidence =)

I don't like the russian language, but this song is just amazing... I have to buy the cd with it. It makes me shivering.
Who sings it?

Alexander Marakulin - he's really a great Frollo!

Thank you for the answer.
I listened to other versions, and I have to say, that the russian is the best.
