You should be weary about anyone who tells you that you can understand scientific processes by using only simple concepts.

If you do not understand how cancer occurs in the human body and why tobacco smoke causes it at a REAL scientific level then you are ignorant. It doesn't matter how many quackpot docs on youtube tell you otherwise.

your studies are wrong Dr. Gori. I've done multiple studies on rats in the laboratory and pumping in controlled amounts cigarette smoke and that of others.

Does it make you feel good killing people by this speech? You must feel sour or maybe you dont have any feeling, some humans dont you know.

It's waaay to late to try and fight back now. But I must say, I will vote for any politician who wants to take away more rights. My rights were taken away. And the only way people will see what it feels like is to take there precious rights away.

i take notice neither did he have problems having checque after cheque from tobacco companies (google 'tobacco legacy documents' and enter the database with internal documents the industry was obliged to make public by an american court)

There's no need. I know for a fact that he has accepted money from tobacco co's. But, it's a non-sequitur to claim that because of this his work must necessarily be influenced by this fact. His work is scientific, and scientific findings either stand or fall on its own merits - that is, at least, until the anti-smoking lobby pushed it into the public psyche that dubious epidemiology was the be-all-end-all of scientific research.

But, if you want to throw out his work because of the source of his funding as a cautionary measure - I suppose that's fair. However, you must also then throw out all research on the anti-side which has been conducted or funded by parties with a known bias as well. And, if you do that, practically 100% of the anti's case goes right out the window.

So, basically, you have your choice: Accept Gori's work and honestly refute the work itself. Or, give up your entire case for SHS being a public health risk.

i am amused by the tumbs down : the evidence is there, but some people don't want to see and will do anything for not having to admit they were wrong.

Dr. Gori has received money from public health as well as he was a scientiest and a distinguished official at the American NCI before they threw him out: The fanatics didn't want research on safer cigarettes anymore. That's why he had to look for other employers. And in the recent past, he has been assisting our movement on a voluntary basis. He has been consistent and staying true to his scientific convictions, whereas the antis rely on zealots and on those who go with flow.

Gori got paid by the NCI when he was their employee, and he got paid by tobacco companies later. But what evidence do you have to suggest that Gori got paid (by whom?) for his voluntary work for our movement, e.g. for delivering this speech at the TICAP conference?
