While driving a really shitty car, without plates, I was stopped by two officers. At the time I was driving home after getting a bag of dog food, and on my way to get something to eat. They asked me if they could search my car, I said "yes". All they did was check the front seat and move the dog food around. That was it. They told me to grab something to eat, then take my car home because I wasn't legally allowed to drive it. Not all cops are bad cops.

Ok so that works for when he pulls me over in a car because the camera is facing us, sure. But what about when i'm walking around town or what if maybe he searches me somewhere other than in front of the hood of the car.
The camera in the officer's car doesn't pick up the audio directly, usually the mic is on the cop's shoulder, lapel, or something similar. Just make sure your voice is aimed at his mic or at least loud enough to be picked up if you're not facing him/her (they pick up a lot so you don't have to scream or anything, normal outside voice should do it).

Judges will almost always give the officer the benefit of the doubt. But unless the police find a dead politician in your trunk, the judge is most likely going to toss the case if he has a dash cam of the defendant refusing a search.

As a retired police officer of Vermont police department we have a right to search your ass. When i was an officer i seen some idiot speeding with a baby, so i shot out his tire to stop him. His car crashed into a tree and i got out and told him to roll down his fucking window. I told him i was gonna search his ass, and he told me i had no right. That pissed me the fuck off, so i pulled him out of his car, and threw him on the ground. I beat him senseless with my baton and shot his back.

This won't work in real life unless its a very high profile case - judges usually side with the police -- it is highly unlikely that the judge will allow you to keep your drugs just because you didnt consent to a search.
Besides even if you didnt consent -- if the police had proably cause ( like the car smelt like weed) they can still search your car anyway

Remember, if the cop had enough reason to search, he will not be asking for consent. If the cop gets more suspicious with refusal, then next words should be "Have I broken any law that would allow you to treat me this way?" Cop wont be happy but now must think twice for the next move. Basically making the cop work extra over time. This may end the ordeal.

However, my friend was pulled over for driving on a closed(under repair) road. It is a high traffic 2+2 lane road. He lives two blocks into the road. Instead of driving onto a 45mph 4 lane road, he stayed on the repairs for two blocks to get on a connecting street. He was pulled over for that. Judge ruled all found drugs were illegally obtained thru the search.

The point is if the police man gets on the stand and says he searched your car and found the drugs and then the defense brings up the lack of consent that found all your Oxy pills (which he couldn't smell) and the cop goes, "Well yeah but I smelled cannibus smoke, though we found no ash and no marijuana and none in the car or on his person... @sweet96635 not nullify, but help out on retrials and appeals if the person wishes to have one and if after further review of the tape it turns out to be tampered with or planted evidence, then set the accused free. It would be a stretch to say all are in fact tampered with, and it would call what happened that day into question.
@Seargent363 Final question - Are the people who were previously convicted of crimes when arrested by that arresting officer who was found to plant evidence, are they notified? I am guessing not. I am hoping they are though. If any cop is found to have done that, every last person he has ever arrested who was later convicted should at least be notified so they can make such appeals or whatever the process is. @sweet96635 More than likely notified one way or an another, either by loved ones, cops, DA, or a lawyer looking into the officer's previous arrests looking for an "easy" case. There are probably more ways, but I am a little fague on them.

I'm so glad to be german and to live in germany. The police here is our friend not our enemy. The police would only touch someone if they would get violent or aggressive otherwise the police will not arrest anybody. And they only research cars in bigger cases they don't stop you for nothing only if you're very suspicious. Ok so that works for when he pulls me over in a car because the camera is facing us, sure. But what about when i'm walking around town or what if maybe he searches me somewhere other than in front of the hood of the car.

The camera in the officer's car doesn't pick up the audio directly, usually the mic is on the cop's shoulder, lapel, or something similar. Just make sure your voice is aimed at his mic or at least loud enough to be picked up if you're not facing him/her (they pick up a lot so you don't have to scream or anything, normal outside voice should do it).

@badpanda84 Actually, cases where people did not consent to searches are thrown out all the time. That's why there are police misconduct lawyers, because they can actually make a living off the amount of people that they help.
Judges will almost always give the officer the benefit of the doubt. But unless the police find a dead politician in your trunk, the judge is most likely going to toss the case if he has a dash cam of the defendant refusing a search.

As a retired police officer of Vermont police department we have a right to search your ass. When i was an officer i seen some idiot speeding with a baby, so i shot out his tire to stop him. His car crashed into a tree and i got out and told him to roll down his fucking window. I told him i was gonna search his ass, and he told me i had no right. That pissed me the fuck off, so i pulled him out of his car, and threw him on the ground. I beat him senseless with my baton and shot his back.

He told me he was going to sue me, so i shot him in the lips and killed him. Till this day it angers me that people still think they can get away with resisting an officer, and what happened that day is proof that you can'[t fuck with us. I take my job seriously as an officer. No one fucks with me.

This won't work in real life unless its a very high profile case - judges usually side with the police -- it is highly unlikely that the judge will allow you to keep your drugs just because you didnt consent to a search.
Besides even if you didnt consent -- if the police had proably cause ( like the car smelt like weed) they can still search your car anyway

Remember, if the cop had enough reason to search, he will not be asking for consent. If the cop gets more suspicious with refusal, then next words should be "Have I broken any law that would allow you to treat me this way?" Cop wont be happy but now must think twice for the next move. Basically making the cop work extra over time. This may end the ordeal.

However, my friend was pulled over for driving on a closed(under repair) road. It is a high traffic 2+2 lane road. He lives two blocks into the road. Instead of driving onto a 45mph 4 lane road, he stayed on the repairs for two blocks to get on a connecting street. He was pulled over for that. Judge ruled all found drugs were illegally obtained thru the search.

@sweet96635 not nullify, but help out on retrials and appeals if the person wishes to have one and if after further review of the tape it turns out to be tampered with or planted evidence, then set the accused free. It would be a stretch to say all are in fact tampered with, and it would call what happened that day into question.

I am hoping they are though. If any cop is found to have done that, every last person he has ever arrested who was later convicted should at least be notified so they can make such appeals or whatever the process is. I'm so glad to be german and to live in germany. The police here is our friend not our enemy. The police would only touch someone if they would get violent or aggressive otherwise the police will not arrest anybody. And they only research cars in bigger cases they don't stop you for nothing only if you're very suspicious. Police only researches cars at the border to Netherlands because smoking weed there (as much as you want) is legal but in germany it's forbidden by law. Greetings from germany
