I too have enjoyed the freedom of living in tiny houses for the past thirty years , but one thing I've noticed for sure as a result , is that I never have enough room , to consume and acquire stuff beyond what is absolutely necessary , but I've always had the freedom from mortgages , loans and the blessings of simplicity !
One thing for sure - the less you have to work for money, along with the less you have to consume , makes it a type of anti-capitalism which is practically un-American !
I can understand where Peter King is coming from; most of the time. I think when he talks about things like the internet though, it's a double edged sword. To keep this comment simple, without the internet it would be hard to get these types of messages across to the masses...(Tiny houses etc etc etc).
I wish I was stuck in Vermont not in Virginia. I love this segment on Tiny houses. My dream is to live in a small house off the grid Hopefully one day- I would love to see more shows on simple living--Great stuff---Mj
I agree with c33rok33, Sharecropping would not be the best name. I like the idea of a tiny house (as a young person who has little to no debt but is leaving VT because I cannot afford a home and am tired of renting and having roommates).
Wonderful. I show the first show with Peter to anyone who will watch it. So glad you did a follow up. Our dream house is about 700 square feet, only round.
I've been downsizing my "room escaped from the house" from a 150 sq ft mansion to a 63 sq ft & no its not square. I designed it to foster prayer and earthcare. Thanks for the Peter update.
Having family historical experience of sharecropping I'd like to suggest share ownership, you nurture the land's health, invest in its (and the community's) productivity you share in the rewards. Kinda like employee owned businesses. ..just a thought.

Peter....
i am building a "WeeBee".i am currently in the framing stage.
b4 i decided to build a tiny house, i had many people lined up to help.
unfortunately, no one showed up.
so any way, i'm a 59 year old swimming pool service man with very little construction experience.
i do like the small house concept.
i'm going today to look at tools to purchase for the T&G flooring.
i live in sunny south florida....how about a vacation?
or maybe an email with some sensible, experienced advice.

i would love to live in a tiny house someday. too much consumerism, materialism, (and proper punctuation) is ruining my life. L'chaim y'all!

What's wrong with "White man"? Lots of things through out history have been invented, cured or fixed by white people.
I wish I could do the tiny house thing.
