Sexual orientation and Gender Identity are different. Very few people are absolutely anything. For the most part, a male who sees a person who identifies as female is interested in the female, not neccesarily their organ. Some women and some men trans people choose to only do part of their surgeries for various concerns. That does not negate the gender role that they are comfortable occupying. A straight man wants a biological woman though, not a male to female woman so I imagine I'd feel a little weird knowing that I'm with even a post-op tranny but I'm different. I think most "straight" people simply feel attracted to the actions and looks of the opposite sex, so by dating a transsexual you're still giving to that. It doesn't mean you're gay persay, but it does mean you're more open about the concept of gender.

Sexual orientation and Gender Identity are different. Very few people are absolutely anything. For the most part, a male who sees a person who identifies as female is interested in the female, not neccesarily their organ. Some women and some men trans people choose to only do part of their surgeries for various concerns. That does not negate the gender role that they are comfortable occupying. I suggest that people look up Gender Identity Dysphoria. First off, transsexual women have no interest in gay men. They don't want to "do" a guy in his butt or "top" a man. They have the mind of a woman and always did. The surgery is merely the tool to change the outside appearance to match the mind of the transgendered person.
The gender has nothing to do with sexual orientation. To be gay is to be attracted to your own sex. A guy is straight if he is attracted to femininity.

Good question. I'm a straight man and knowing how I like women I'd rather date a post-op trans than a pre-op, you know, one with a penis. A straight man wants a biological woman though, not a male to female woman so I imagine I'd feel a little weird knowing that I'm with even a post-op tranny but I'm different. it depends, if the man is strictly going on with the women because she is a transsexual yes that does make him gay in fact it makes him a closeted gay. if he likes her because she looks as a woman and not because of parts than no he is straight. because if she walks like a woman, acts like a woman, behave like a woman she will be treated as a woman. from my experiences I have learned it.

absolutely not....there are lots of women born with genital deformaties. that doesnt make them less of a woman. so transsexual females are also women if they have vaginas. manmade or otherwize. penis going into vagina is straight sex......

Putting aside the issue of looks and how well someone passes I can summ it up quite simply. Various people describe transsexual women as "they used to be a guy" but the transsexual woman knows that she never was a man, inside where it counts.

A straight man dating a transsexual (whether the straight guy knows it or not) is not gay at all. Only way it can be gay is if the guy all of a sudden has the same or increased attraction to his own gender than with genetic females. Even including various deviations of male-to-female transgendered folk. The straight guy is still straight unless he just becomes gay.

I think if a guy admire masculinity yes he is gay but if he sees feminine, then no.if a woman dates a stud, she is consider a lesbian but if she dates a transman, she is straight.

I think most "straight" people simply feel attracted to the actions and looks of the opposite sex, so by dating a transsexual you're still giving to that. It doesn't mean you're gay persay, but it does mean you're more open about the concept of gender.

hello there this is the first video of yours i'm seeing and i have to say i like... well when it comes to this topic i feel that there are two different types of guys who date transexuals there are those who seek them out who i believe are just freaks and gay lol and those who happen to fall for one unknowingly and upon finding out looks within himself and ultimately decides that he likes and wants to be with this PERSON regardless of what the outside world thinks or feels. hope to hear back

i think if one person presents themselves as a women and the other presents themselves as a man, then they are in a straight relationship; however, trannies are different; whatever relationships they are in are by definition a queer relationship

This is how I see it if you are going by labels then yes they are considered gay (LGBT)stands for lesbian,gay,bisexuals and transgender or transexual,therefore if you are dating someone in the(LGBT)community who is TRANSGENDER/TRANSEXUAL yes your are gay,As is a female who dates a trangender/transexual "male".IT DOES NOT matter if they are post or pre op they are still transgender/transexual.

I am a transexual and I am with a female and we consider ourselves lesbians, and if I where to date a guy, however I would consider myself a straight female. Transwoman are woman no matter how they where born. Who needs labels anyway??

If the guy is dating a tran-girl, and the girl still has the penis, then im gonna say that yes, he's gay. Its all about what you like. Like lets say two gay men are dating. One gay guy decides to start dressing like a woman but still has a penis and theyre still dating, the man dressing guy is still gay, because he likes the penis. Thats how I see it.
