Ubuntu is a distribution type of linux. Beryl is some software running on the Ubuntu platform to enable these "eye candy" features.

I believe Beryl is now a part of Compiz Fusion, I'm not too sure though.

Dude...thats pretty aweosme!!! I im still a newbie..I just installed Beryl on my laptop..(Asus ProS..2.0Ghz, 2Gb Ram, 128Mb Nvidia card.

Ecerything works fine..but the only problem im having is that my title bar disappear when i activate the Beryl Cube efect..Do u know how i can fix it?? or should i go for compiz fusion?? Thx..

Thanks heaps for the vid, it actually made me get ubuntu. but seriously, how do you do it up? like how can you zoom out and switch between windows and like.. you know just do it up make effects when you close windows and things. but mainly HOW DO YOU ZOOM OUT AND SWITCH BETWEEN WINDOWS! i've got updated so i have both gnome and what ever the other one is..im using gnome at the moment though. thanks ^^

Ubuntu is a version of linux. Beryl is a program to give your desktop the animations and 3d effects.

Yes to your first question. It is your multiple desktops, wrapped around a cube. On the bottom panel, you'll see at the right the workspaces changing as I do stuff on different sides of the cube.
