story:in rinning of the bulb big boo find out that when u light the magic bulb it can make ghost disappear so him and his henchman(boos and thwomps) run after it mario andthe gang find this out as well so they take the bulb and shine the light and make all the badies disapear.eventually they did and afterwords the light thing broke and afer everyone died it was up to mario to light up the bulb in luigi's engine room.1 boo servived and mario tryed to lite it b4 it was to late.and he did

Uhh i love these "co-op" 4player mini games...its like..yeah its been 22 turns of hell so far, we all hate eachother but lets work together. This and Key-pa-way!

Definitely one of the best mini games in Mario party. I loved this one as a kid. The team work was great, and seeing the friendly characters throw punches was funny to me.

@razaray0 Yeah but when me and my pro played this we had a plan:1p/2p has the bulb let evrybody except p1/p2 be ghost then when the person and 2 others are posesed then everyone except one goes into big boo.when the 2cpu's are gone save your friend then worktogether to get all the money for yourself. it is cruel but its more of a challenge

This was really a great idea, i just loved it, especially this game. They should make co-op games for the next Mario Partys.

Haha! You could totally tell right from the beginning you're Yoshi; the computers never run in the beginning of the mini-game.

Btw, you were pretty close on winning that mini-game by yourself; it's hard to get rid of the 2nd last character (if he/she is computer).

For those who don't know whats going on, this is a 4 player Co-op game.

The aim is to get the light bulb to the end of the passage, touching the big boo will kill you, and you won't get a share of the coins.

If the player with the light bulb touches the big boo, its game over.

The little boos will posses the characters, causing theme to loose control and go after the light bulb, if they get it, they will make their way to big boo and kill them selves... Game over. punch them to free them.

the newer minigames were toned down more in order for it to be a casual gamer pick up, at the same time, people who enjoyed the harder, more interactive minigames had to deal with the easier minigames. I used to really collect mario party games until the games got easier. I have 1,2,3, played 4 and own 5. I never bought a mario party game since sadly..

@narutoshadowclone1: My brother explained to me why developers do such a thing. The reason is to bring more people to play together. Newcomers will crash on mini-games like these but simple ones allows them to be able to play as well.

I know they are trying to attract newcomers but what about us hardcore gamers. My bro also asks, "Do you know what attracts hardcore gamers? Classics" Games like Fire Emblem, Mario Kart, etc.
