nycboyforlife - If you were a b-boy, you'd know that Dennis Coffey and Bob James are traditional breakbeats. Just cuz it ain't Apache or Hot Wheels doesn't mean these aren't original breaks.

All these euro Djs are rocking breaks for the b-boy jams cuz they understand the real history. Any real break DJ searches for new beats and drops classics. Right now you can hear DJ Leacy (rest in beats) ...just google him and you will see how dope euro DJs can be. And he did inspire people to dance.

Ya know, I used to think that RFC won this battle but after looking at it a lot, they were not nearly as impressive. Seriously, if they battled SLS the SAME way they battled the Family a week earlier, they woulda been on some shit. I don't know why they didn't. Reveal KILLED IT. Vietnam was on some dope back of the wrist stuff. Iron Monkey was doing dope power. Why didn't they do it then?

i think they were more conservative considering what happened the year before with the DQ of the Familyl because of touching. You notice 'Nam a couple times in this battle backing up like "whoa i aint touch him". Plus, the Family battle the week before was more on some raw bboy shit

Naw, you're right, the IBE Battle the week before WAS on some raw bboy shit. Which is why RFC came hard then and not here. I think that happens a lot with US crews and BOTY. They're not necessarily showy, but in some raw cypher shit they are very gritty and raw. The untold story about this BOTY is that the Family was set to battle Bag of Trix for 3rd but walked off the stage after the opening moves. Bag of Trix battled the judges instead.

I dont know why but for me Rock Force seemed alot worse in this battle then they did in 1998 against the family. I think they came into the event ready to battle the family but when they got Suicidal lifestyles i think it through them off and they just couldn't recover
