  • I like the fact that you didn't go down there to make a video about how horrible the city is. I enjoy going down there and feel safe. I thank you for this.

  • @cougarsstudios - Actually I came all the way from Denmark in Europe to see the city:-) I had seen the videos about "Dying Detroit" and so on, but I was not scared. I had to see it. And I was definately not dissapointed. Detroit is great and it´s a place I would like to visit once more. I spent a couple of hundred bucks there: Hard Rock Cafe, homeless people, GM Renaissance Center and some bars. I hope that other people will do the same, so that this great city will be okay.

  • @Andy31428 Yeah, I saw that you were from denmark on another video and I was intrested so, I wanted to see the videos you made. What possessed you to come here on a vacation / trip? I never really think of Detroit as a hot tourist destination.

  • @cougarsstudios - Hmmm.... I think my interest started when reading about the crisis in Ford, Chryssler and GM. There was a lot of articles in the newspapers about Detroit. Then I remembered that Suzy Quatro was born there, and I also remembered the movie "Robo Cop" which I liked back in 1987.

I have to admit that I was a tiny little bit scared about going there:-). But all theese things did that it was a perfect vacation for me. I find it boring to go to the places where all the tourist are.

  • @Andy31428 Oh. Well what did you go and do? Did you go on belle isle, or to the henry ford museum? The zoo? Or did you just walk around downtown?

  • @cougarsstudios - I stayed at a hotel in Windsor and took a taxi through the tunnel to Hard Rock Café. Then I walked around down town. Talking to some homeless peole and visited the GM Ranaissance Center. I also tried the People Mover and stopped at a casino. I had some food and drinks on a bar; I think it was on Woodward Ave. The last hour I spent at the water front before catching a bus back to Windsor. Must say that it is a spectacular view from Windsor to Detroit skyline.

  • @Andy31428 Oh, so you stayed around the downtown area. Thats cool. Well glad to hear you enjoyed your stay.
