I LOOOVE his voice! I just auditioned for Cornelius in this years School musical, and if I get the part, I will totally work to make my voice just as good as his :) Great Cornelius!
Cornelius and Barnaby were very very good. VERY good. We recently did this at my school (I was Minnie Fay) Our version had more dancing, but I think the vocals on this, as well as the colors, were better. Not to mention we had a total of 7 guys, and it looks like there are a LOT more here. This was wonderful! I'm still marveling! And the Barnaby was very adorably cute...
@pandaforprez I hear you on the lack of males. We have to do this with just enough guys for the lead male roles, with only a handful of recruits. Female tenor, right here.
I agree, though, this is very well performed, although I do prefer Ermengarde silent as we have her, because I can't stand whining of any sort. (I said the same thing to our Ermengarde, even though she's one of my best friends.) Very good, though.
most boring one ever there is virtually no movement besides the feet dolly is boring to listen to and Emangaurd wails like a dying cow not like a 17 year old girl
That cute kid playing Barnaby could pull off playing the part for the next 10 years!Boy-those girls really worked their parasols! As for all of the people on stage-was the entire town of Yonkers taking the train to NYC? But honestly -Ive been in productions where there were more people on stage than in the audience.Years ago I was in a small town theatre group that gave a part to every young child who tried out. Well-ya can just imagine! Yours was a great production.
I absolutely love this video. Cornelius is wonderful and I love that there are so many characters on stage at the end. Did you hear the audience response when all the girls came out and when they twirled their umbrellas? It was chilling! :)
To be fair, the director must have had some reason for picking this kid. He's a tenor, it might sound wierd for a guy his age, but it's not ear-drum shattering. As for the Ensamble, it could be because they had too many kids on stage - but then again if they did not have enough, then it would have collapsed, wouldn't it?
Cornelius sounds like the original Cornelius on helium. OUR Cornelius has a voice that is the male equivilent of Ariel's voice from The Little Mermaid. And the entire Ensamble had the worst vowels and vowel space. Nails on a chalkboard sound more appealing right now.
This is by far the best production of Hello, Dolly! on Youtube. Great job! :D

GREAT voices!
especially for the ages up there.
and for the people complaining about the number of people on stage....it's a high school, not broadway.
