  • Precioso....te AMO ZOLA......TU MUSICA SE IDENTIFICA CONMIGO :)

  • Esto no suena a los 80´s, suena al espacio perdido en el que Glam/air metal, grunge y nu-metal estuvo de moda. Es tomar el camino que hace mucho se dejo... :D

  • I simply don't understand this trend of 80's emulation mixed with music that is emotionally disconnected from the people making it. It's like these kids showed up with no knowledge of musical structure, timing or tone and someone just handed them instruments and said "okay, you guys are a band now." Whoever compared these guys to The Cure is a fucking trolling idiot.

  • this is sooooooo boring. popular artists have completely lost the art of songwriting. and why does she sing like shes doing a kermit the frog impression?

  • her voice sounds like me as a kid talking like a dickhead.... can't like this. sorry.

  • death metal drummer FTW

  • Her voice entrances me. the more of her stuff I hear, the more I love her.

  • 1:08 i was looking forward to a beard... =P

  • Well, here's my two pennorth. I think she's trying SO hard to sound like Victoria Legrand, without success I'm afraid.

  • @Burnden66 sorry m8........shes trying to sing tht hard to get rid of her opera voice she was trained for from the age of 8 for ten years. shut up!! full stop

  • quality- i like this like i liked the banshees way back- she's got a she-growl that is a one off- give us some fuckin quality angst songwritin and these guys would be top shelf ;D

  • lol I hate "pretentious hipster bullshit" but I like this song however you want to label it - and they just look like pretty normal musician expressions to me....

  • god forbid a band look like they're enjoying what they're doing right? douche.

  • In a perfect world, there will be a to-the-death all-girl cage match. In the opening bout, Siouxsie Sioux snaps Zola Jesus' neck, and in the title bout, Grace Jones tears Lady Gaga into an unrecognizable heap of material for her own meat dress. And then, we can get on to making the 21st Century not suck.

  • Wow, what a bunch of pretentious hipster bullshit... Every member of the band is making the cliche I'm having an orgasm while playing this because I'm so good at what I'm doing face. Fuck this band. Fuck anyone who thinks this is good music.

  • @skyzefawlun hat's what's bugging you? Did it occur to you that maybe they actually enjoy what they're doing? Everybody has different quirks when they perform music. Some people tap they're feet, some click they're teeth, some people just stop caring about appearances and just act what they're feeling. What's pretentious is people claiming something is pretentious just because of outward appearance. Not my favorite group, but you gotta give them props, for doing what they love.

  • @skyzefawlun what would you rather see? that they would just have blank zombie looks on their faces? no thanks.

  • A Carla gosta muito de Zola Jesus!

  • I like this because I love shitty music.

  • exactly the cross between Stevie Nicks and Florence Welch - Awesome.

  • i needed to hear the chorus just one more time at the end

  • LOVE

  • 18 mile zig zag straight lightning from 500 jolt holds i need a lightning rod to aim at!

  • warning: this music attracts obnoxious hipsters. leave now leave now

  • her voice is sooooo good live

  • weeeeeeeeeeeak sauce

  • Stevie Nicks singin along to the Blade Runner Soundtrack!

  • @FreakStomp95

That's quite reductive of Vangelis' masterkeyboard work. Gotta respect the dude. This is nowhere as evocative.

  • I don't really like how she forces her voice, i like way more how she normally sings ^^

  • Brilliant and wonderful performance!

  • i'll wait the drummer doin' some blast beat parts

  • I love her music and voice on her studiowork but here...the voice...

    No..sorry, no good

  • shit voice, don't start an argument. it's just my opinion.

  • estupenda cancion

  • My throat is so tense. It happens involutarily when I hear her voice. Weird huh?

  • This song brings me to a place of bitter sweet memories..

  • its good to see a metal head jammn with a couple of indie kids. seriously thats sick lol

  • This is an SNL skit . Period . SO bad . TERRIBLE .

  • @easyfriend71 You're a douchbag, PERIOD.

  • @superate tatata now, kids. please behave.

  • @easyfriend71 I like how you say period and they proceed on more. Usually when you say period, it's the end of your statement.

  • Amazingly beautiful voice.

  • Surely she's putting that voice on!! Nobody sounds like that, unless they're havin' a laugh!

  • Just leave her be and stop with the common comparisons. Let it stew. By the time she's 30 she'll be more important than any of you will ever be.

  • the new Fleet Wood Mac

  • that dude in the leather jacket is cool. because it's too cold in that studio. so yeah, cool man.

  • Forza Zola !

  • @LittleSidekick

I agree. The album version sounds kind of flat, and this version pops.

  • yeah, had the chance to see them livein Montreal; her drummer is insane and he's not the same drummer that appears on the album (he actually use to play in 2 doom metal bands) and it gives her music an even more visceral and dark feel.

  • <3

  • found out in spin this morning haha i love kexp!

  • fabulous

  • This girl is amazing and so is the drummer. So much better with live acoustic drums.

  • So this is what music sounds like from the year 52011.

  • @sjf440 No, this is what music sounded like from the year 1989. Have a listen to... The Cure - Disintegration - Plainsong - track 01

  • @NaturesChild I am thinking "Atmosphere" by Joy Division, 1980, especially that synthscape.

  • @ChristianCrossdress Definitely more a Cure-sounding synth than Joy Division.

  • @NaturesChild It may sound like the Cure (and Souxsie), but it's quite refreshing to hear when compared to what's in the top 40 these days!

  • @URKillingme100 Agreed. I like it.

  • @NaturesChild AMEN!! She has hints of Siouxsie in her voice as well! ;) It is nice to see new bands that are influenced by groups like The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Depeche etc =)

  • voice so unique...she has her style ^_^

  • bravo!
