Actually the the melting of the last Ice Age was caused by a shift in Angle of the earts rotation. Maybe if you would look at real science in a quality peer reviewed source, you would find that these Phd's are confirming what we already know, that GHG's are helping warm the environment and we are the cause. That aside if I can't convince you through the vast amount of peer reviewed scientific data out there, as well the hard data not just based on temperature records but migration pattern, spawning patterns, etc., then there is no way that anything will convince you. Well, as for the natural occurance idea, the eart has gone through warm and cold periods, but these were brough about by shifts in the earths rotations, altering natural patterns. Unfortunately, there is no indication that the earth has gone through one of these "shifts" lately. There are several other theories as to the current warming trend, but almost all qualified and respected scientist believe that the trend is caused by excess GHG due to human use. It's just the crazies that cast doubt.

As noted in prior posts, the science behind Climate Change is solid, backed up by literally thousands of peer reviewed papers and verifiable data and experiments. Your claim that this is all some sort of "socialist conspiracy" is, to qoute Darwin "absurd in the highest degree". Even though there are certain aspects of climate change legislation that I do not agree on, that does not dampen the fact that AGW is a scientific fact or that certain human activies should be regulated to avoid problems.

But many of them are just going along because they get funding. There is at least 10 times more money going to the climate alarmist side from the government and special interests to promote AGW. If lakes and oceans are warmer, then that will create evoporation. Once this saturated air hits the colder main land, this creates snow. The warmer it is, the more water is evorated, and once that air hit the mainland itdumps larger amounts of snow. Actually the the melting of the last Ice Age was caused by a shift in Angle of the earts rotation. Maybe if you would look at real science in a quality peer reviewed source, you would find that these Phd's are confirming what we already know, that GHG's are helping warm the environment and we are the cause. Just look up anthropogenic climate change in "Science" or "Natures" web data base and behold the wonder of the current scientific system.

You'll be surprised to know that "junk science" isn't an actual science term. That aside if I can't convince you through the vast amount of peer reviewed scientific data out there, as well the hard data not just based on temperature records but migration pattern, spawning patterns, etc., then there is no way that anything will convince you. At least as an attempt to show you the shear amount of scientific data out there I'll give you a link to Nature of the subject.. in the next post.

Well, as for the natural occurance idea, the eart has gone through warm and cold periods, but these were brough about by shifts in the earths rotations, altering natural patterns. Unfortunately, there is no indication that the earth has gone through one of these "shifts" lately. There are several other theories as to the current warming trend, but almost all qualified and respected scientist believe that the trend is caused by excess GHG due to human use. It's just the crazies that cast doubt.

As noted in prior posts, the science behind Climate Change is solid, backed up by literally thousands of peer reviewed papers and verifiable data and experiments. Your claim that this is all some sort of "socialist conspiracy" is, to qoute Darwin "absurd in the highest degree". Even though there are certain aspects of climate change legislation that I do not agree on, that does not dampen the fact that AGW is a scientific fact or that certain human activies should be regulated to avoid problems.

But many of them are just going along because they get funding. There is at least 10 times more money going to the climate alarmist side from the government and special interests to promote AGW. The media supports that there is a consensus, which is a lie. The more you research, the more you will know, and the fishier the whole thing is.

All of you need to realize that there is a world beyond the USA and that many countries in Africa and in Asia are suffering great extremes of weather.
Copenhagen is about trying to work together to stop what is happening now. Just the other month, many of our cities were underwater and our people were sitting on rooftops at a time when there should be no rain.

Earth has been warmer than today hundreds of times, yet here we are. How do you explain that? There has been no warming in the past decade. Ice core records show in the past temp rose and THEN C02, not the other way around. Throughout the entire history of earth there have been cycles of warming and cooling, ice ages, etc. How do you think the last ice age melted? The earth warmed. This winter is colder than average in fact.

If the planet is getting warmer and we have 6 years to fix this propblem then why are the russians eager to invest trillions in the natural gas industry in order for europe to heat their homes in the winter. You would think the people on here would actually read into it a bit.
It seems reasonable to me when someone says they don't think the science is totally sound (whatever side of the fence they're on) but to be so sure and so aggressive with it, i can't help but wonder what the psychology behind that is.
I'm open to what has been said on here and will research and look at the opposing arguments also, but it seems to me most of the people here just want to mentally stagnate.

The Copenhagen Treaty will be that on steroids. "Western benevolence" dooms African nations to being welfare states tormented with poverty and pestilence.
This treaty calls for forced benevolence overseen by the U.N. IMF, and World Bank -- the same organizations that have supported unrepresentative, corrupt regimes.
We should not sign this treaty giving the U.N. taxing authority and allowing them to do more of the same.
It's a shame these kids weren't told this part of the story.
