  • that's what I told my hubby, his pants are to expensive to ruin. lol

  • I have my hubby watching your videos with me! lol He asked me to ask you if you could make a video on how to fix pants (slacks that are too big. Can you help us out? Love all your tips!

  • @4dillies I will definitely work on that! Actually -- my expertise in that area is pretty limited to minor alterations and mainly hems. Pants, if you want them done right, are best sent to an alterations service. Sometimes you can do a little with the center back seam, but that's about it. The problem I always run into is that you can make the alteration but you either can't get the rest of it back together properly or you can't finish the seams to where it doesn't look like a complete mess.

  • I liked how you did the waist band. Thanks for teaching us.

  • Thank you! I have a zippered skirt thats too small and that should help a lot. I had no clue what to do with it but didn't want to get rid of it. :)

  • @bloodykisses56 It always makes my day when something I do helps someone else! Thanks for letting me know, and SO glad it helped!

  • @mwnjw :)

  • Great tip on the skirt! I have never tried anything like that before

  • Hi Jen.

First I want to say I found your videos very helpful and I look forward to more tutorials from you.

I have a jacket with really baggy sleeves. I was thinking of just turning it inside out and trace it with a jacket I know fits. Similar to your shirt refitting. Is there any thing I should be wary of when I do it?

  • @xCalloxx Ah, complicated problem. Jacket sleeves with linings always scare me a little. If it's unlined, I would do just what you're planning. The only possible snag I can forsee is if it has a small dart at the elbow - you'll just have to really look at the jacket that fits and see how they accommodated that. If it's lined, then you'll have to take it apart and do to the lining what you do to the sleeve - almost more trouble than it's worth. Let me know how it goes!

  • Thank you very much!!! Could you make a video on how to fix pants that are so long? :) thank so much!

  • @Pandex Sure -- I'll do that next!

  • You're back... yippee! I look forward to and enjoy your videos very much. Thank you.

    Peace

  • @lovethemanyway You made my day! Thanks!
