Its not only swiss german it is even a special dialect from switzerland. It's from "Bern" the capital of Switzerland. Even some Swiss people have difficulties to understand. It's not a song about mother, but about grandmother. "She had waterblue eyes and working hands" -> wasserbloui ouge und gwärchegi häng -> wasserblaue Augen und werkende Hände. Thanks for posting :-)!

Es ist die Grossmutter, die beschrieben wird, ihre wasserblauen Augen und ihre Hände machen sind ihr "Markenzeichen". Sie arbeitet viel, ist lieb aber auch streng wenn's sein muss. Sie folgt ihrem bäurischen Tagwerk mit grosser Selbstverständlichkeit (Grossvater ist auf Arbeit). In der zweiten Strophe geht sie quasi furchtlos im Wald Pilze sammeln.
Hi MoroccanARROWS...thanks for your kind reply. The beginning of the video with the car and the red lights (rondo-like at the end) is meant by me, as: we live in the big city, the civilisation...but we have to return to Nature (the highway to the country), leave the city and go back to natural life. There are trees, forests, mountain scapes, the moon, the stars, and love and understanding. In Morocco that could be the beautiful desert, too!
