  • vampire princess looks like something off of Toonami before it became Adult swim...was it on either at anytime or am I just thinking this because the art is similar to Inuyasha>? nice chobit poster, I totally forgot about that show due to downtime for internet, now I gotta go finish it. wait soultaker? isnt that the Nurse Witch Komugi thing? is that a SNES controller I see in the background at 10:08?

  • @ArcheWhatzitGonnaB3

A brief check of the list of shows aired on Toonami didn't reveal Vampire Princess Miyu so perhaps not. (I probably only watched a dozen or so shows from Toonami, though, so I could have missed it.)

The character from Nurse Witch Komugi came from Soultaker. So, it's the same character for both but the monsters (and wallscroll title) are from Soultaker.

Yup, that's an SNES controller at 10:08.

  • chiiiiiiiiiI!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WELL u OBVIOUSLY HAVE NO LIFE ... And u have now pissed me off so much I wanna kill u !!!! U SAID NEGIMA RONG REPETEDLY !!! Come ON u don't deserve those DVDs if ur disrespecting them that much !!! I'M SO PISSED OF god I hate ignorant people !!!!!!

  • I've watched blade of the immortal but it stops at ep.13-14 (i don't remember) does it continue?

  • @3DxXxD13MoNXiIi

Probably in the manga but according the AniDB that's where the series ends. :(

  • You look like the guy from the Burt's Bees packages LOL. Seriously though cool collection!

  • Not trying to be mean, but you're pronouncing negima wrong. Its Neh-gee-muh Thats how you pronounce it.

  • epic beard dude

  • Wow its been a year today since this time. Interesting look back.

  • do u like ever wtahc most of them or do u just like collecting lol

  • @stew8fpv

My last estimate suggested I have watched about 70% of it, so I'd say a little of column A and a little of column B. :)

  • @Gigafrosty oh okay good work =p great collection mate keep it up

  • OMG ANIME FREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111ONE ONE ONE ONE ONNNNNNNNNE....

  • Awesome AWESOME AWESOME!!!!!

  • what do you do for a living because you can buy lots of anime....

one question : Is your goal is to collect ALL anime merchandise? ( I know is a stupid silly question) I do... but I don't have lots of money...

    how do you do it??

  • @143456453

Well, I don't plan on collecting all *merchandise*... a lot of it, for sure. But I do hope to one day have all anime DVDs (or more specifically, everything that has been released on DVD.)

What I do for a living, it's really just a simple software engineering job. (Aka "programmer.") It pays well and, combined with my relatively low expenses, gives me the freedom to enjoy anime DVD collecting. :)

  • that was a huge collection that's awesome, btw the negima sets you had was those English set's?

  • @masterxninjaxranma

Yup. I always buy the region 1 (US / english) releases.

  • I'm an otaku too but i don't have so many dvd from my favorite animes .

In wich web site can i buy them?

  • @100coolkat001

For the best selection, that would obviously be Amazon. Even for older DVDs, other people/stores sell through Amazon (both new and used.) You can even use a site such as DVD Aficionado to find a series you're looking for.

It's possible you could find cheaper prices (including cheaper shipping) at other places. The Right Stuf International comes to mind there.

(Those are the two places I buy stuff so that's about all I know for sure.)

  • @Gigafrosty thank you :)

  • wooot otakudom i love your house i would be in heaven if i had a house like that

  • Hey man im very new to anime, wondering if you have any suggestions on what dvds i should buy,i just ordered the complete death note box set which comes with a book cos i heard thats meant to be really good.

  • @ricdownsouth

To be honest, I'm not really sure what one "should" buy. There's plenty of series I really enjoy, but how many of them are really a must-buy? How much of my own opinion simply clouds what could be a good, objective suggestion?

Honestly, that's what makes the "buy everything" mantra so refreshing... no need to make decisions. :)

  • nice SWR music lol

  • Please tell me you got laid AT LEAST once.

  • Wow, you must have a lot of money to buy all of those DVD's. Anime is expensive, and you have that much stuff?!?!? Dang dude. You must be loaded to afford all of that stuff. What are you going to do with all of it when you get older? Sell it?

  • I intend to keep it as long as possible. Maybe I'll even keep at it until my death bed (where I envision donating the entire collection to a local library or something.)

    It's hard to say whether or not that really will stay the case for my entire future, though. ^.^;;

  • That's a kind gesture, I'm sure most of your stuff is in good condition, so maybe in a few years a lot of it would be worth a ton of money and you could maybe make a profit off of it. xD I am sure you have a life time full of anime watching. *dreams* You are like the god of anime. Oh and I have another question, do you go to cons and find new anime that you have never bought? Or have you accidentally bought something twice?

  • Actually, I don't go to conventions, all though the last time I went I bought a bunch of old stuff that I needed to catch up on. (I only remember buying the last Saint Tail DVD, though.)

For new releases, I think I usually don't miss DVD releases. (I tell Amazon to list all of its upcoming anime DVDs and sort by date.)

I've accidentally bought the Air movie twice, but keeping a list and buying online prevent duplicates. :)

  • Thanks for showing the Negima DVDs =]

  • You're welcome. :)

  • the way funimation is releasing dvds now are money and space savers but i really miss the nice art boxes like that negima one, and special editions.

  • other companies aswell.

  • I do miss the individuals from a DVD-collecting perspective but enjoy the condensed releases from an anime-watching perspective.

    I'm fairly conflicted.

  • you might want to take that figure out of the box

you remember what happened last time DONT YOU???!! LOL JK

  • Yeah, I should. I wouldn't want to FALL for that one again. :3

  • Lol, you punned. At the beginning, the pile behind you with Saint Seiya in it is seriously of the verge of toppling!! OH and nice shelves btw, it look so pretty and neat!!

  • is that Azumanga Daioh thingy a blanket!!!?? I want 1

  • It's a towel. Well, I guess it's called a "beach towel" but it seems to work well enough for when I step out of the shower.

I'm still trying to figure out the anime blanket situation. I don't like Amazon's selection and haven't gotten around to search for more just yet...

  • whats the song in the backround called

  • All the songs I used came from Touhou games. (Actually, only one game... Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, aka Touhou 10.5)

I list them in the end credits. :)

  • better job with the intro

  • Thanks.

Basically, I plan on making a couple simple visual to it using another program called Video Studio that came with something else I bought:

-An official "title" that's something other than simple WMM overlaid text.

-Various clips scrolling over the screen. (Video Studio supports picture-in-picture.)

I should also come up with a song to use each time...

  • How do you watch most of your anime if given the choice: English or Japanese?

  • When given the choice, I choose dubbed. It's hard to multitask when having to read subtitles.

  • nice!...but why did u get naruto shippuden box set 1 since u already got the volumes!.....i guess u bought it because of the naruto figure!...BTW nice body pilows LOL!....i just want them :C!

  • It's pretty much for the figure and because I bought all of the SE versions of the original Naruto. If I don't buy it, it's... INCOMPLETE. D8

And I'll still buy the individuals because it's what I'm watching with a friend...

  • How many episodes are in the Naruto Shippuden Box set?

  • It has 13 episodes.
