We should have no qualm about scorning the self deluded, irrational, parasitic religious. They deserve no respect, only ridicule, disdain, and contempt. There ridicules beliefs are 1st century ignorance and fear at its worst. It is of the utmost importance for the health of civilization to eradicate the god virus. With information so easily available, being ignorant today is by choice.
We have a partnership with Faith Comes by Hearing to encourage people in CBF-affiliated churches to listen to the New Testament, but not to distribute Bibles in Haiti.
I understand how this can be confusing, but it is, nonetheless, inaccurate.
We fully support our partner, Faith Comes By Hearing, and appreciate the niche they are filling in responding to the overwhelming needs in Haiti.
I think you've gotten some misinformation. The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship's response has not been audio BIbles but providing medical treatment and dispensing needed supplies. CBF's field personnel, Dr. Steve James, and his wife, Nancy, a nurse, have been providing medical treatment, and Scott Hunter has been dispatched to Haiti to set up a base of operations so we can send in church volunteers to help with long-term rebuilding.
I can't find anything on either website to indicate that CBF is paying for this. CBF is using FCBH to provide audio Bibles for a project they are doing with their churches. The offering for that goes to provide Proclaimers for CBF field personnel and to record additional audio Bibles in different languages. Can you send me a link to where it says that CBF is paying for this?
On another note- I did discover that CBF has collected (as of Feb. 7) over $135,000 dedicated to medical relief.
I can't even replace dots and slashes with words--YouTube ABSOLUTELY does not let me post links in any way shape or form. It's lame.
The news site I got this initial info from no longer is hosting the article I got the information from. They may have taken it down because it could have had false information on it.
On the Faith Comes by Hearing site, watch the flash animation and you'll see CBF mentioned. That's not much of a reference.
Also, one other point of correction- The independent ministry Faith Comes By Hearing is sending the audio Bibles, NOT the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. The CBF is using FCBH to supply audio Bibles for an initiative WITHIN CBF chuches- not into Haiti. An offering is taken by CBF for FCBH, but not for Bibles being sent to Haiti. We can debate whether the Bibles should be sent or not, but CBF- a moderate/progressive Baptist movement- should not be brought into this discussion. BIG misstep!
With all due respect, your assumption that these audio Bibles is all the CBF is doing is WAY off base. CBF has had medical personnel on the ground since day one. Thousands of dollars in aid are being sent along with countless boxes of medical supplies are being sent regularly through CBF. Whether the audio Bibles are being sent (the first I've heard of this) by CBF or not and how appropriate is another. To ignore the medical aid and financial aid that is being sent is reprehensible to me!
Good video, CBF should be ashamed of their self serving "charity". I wonder how much food/water/medicine could have been sent in the place of those talking bibles. I wonder if each of the bibles comes with a CBF business card.
If what you say is true..... that they sent the Bibles only and no other aid, then you are obviously right when you say that they do not care. If, on the other hand, they sent food and other kinds of help and also got up of their asses and actually went there to help the people and brought the Bibles, then I applaud them. If they want the people to understand WHY they are being helped by the Baptists(Their belief in tha Bible) It is certainly reasonable, in my opinion.
I sincerely hope that they are sending more than those bibles. Even if it's not interrupting the sending of other things, if that's ALL that the CBF is sending out, it just doesn't seem that they care.
Hippie douche, what ever drugs you're on, maybe try some different ones, cause you are blind as a bat. Your nose ring isn't "tribal", it just looks really stupid!
Maybe your problem is you're not doing enough hard drugs. Maybe you'd be less of an ass-hole if you shot heroin into your scrotum and smoked Salvia while peaking on LSD. Look into that, and make another Haiti video while you're peaking.
It couldn't possibly come out any worse, maybe you'll have some divine answers by that point.
Some of my videos took more than 24 hours to make! You fat fuck. Why don't you lay off McDonald's for just one month and send the extra cash to Haiti, that would take too much effort I suppose. You are such a fat turd, you probably can't see your toes, let alone touch them, let alone quit eating fast-food long enough to find your own dick, and jack it off to fetish porn. Goodbye for good this time, and good riddance.
If it takes you 24 hours to extract a single clip from a movie and put an audio track over it with a song you didn't write, perform, or produce yourself, there's a problem. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to do the kinds of videos you make. And you say that I waste time? LOL.
I rarely eat fast food, I cook my own meals from scratch, I don't do boxed crap. I've thought about making some cooking videos to show people my recipes. Maybe I'll do that next, thanks for the encouragement. :D
How am I chicken? I post what I want to post. You spout so much blind absurdity! I'm not replying again, because FUCK YOU, you're iq is clearly very low, so I won't waste my time on you anymore. I'll take the high road, and you can go suck a tailpipe or whatever it is you suck on, maybe Satan's dick.
I understand you are jealous, because my videos are classy and exquisitely crafted. I've only seen one of your videos, and it sucked balls!
My videos take talent to make, your's do not, dick!
OMG, you're hilarious! Yes, it takes so much talent to post clips of movies, yep. LOL
And you resort to namecalling and profanity when you meet up with someone you disagree with, and bring out the "Satan" thing too. Anyone reading this can see who is lacking in the IQ department.
We 100% agree that these poor & desperate people need all the essentials they can get.
These devices are still in the U.S. being shipped out in small phases along with food, water, medical supplies, etc. They are NOT displacing ANY aid to these people who have suffered so much.
These Bibles don't have any preaching or teaching, on them. It's just the Bible in their language. People listen then make up their own mind. Just visit our site if you want to get the whole story.
Those bibles are pretty expensive too in contrast to a normal bible. If the money that was used to produce those bibles was spent on food, shelter, clothing, first aid, etc, they would have a lot more necessities.
You have totally failed, I'll point out why, number one, those churches probably gave much more aid then you, and I'm talking per person, out of their own pockets. How much did you send, zero?
"And I'm glad the United States Government is doing what it can as well?" Fuck, that is ignorant. Hey, guy, this earthquake was a "test" of the HAARP technology, it seems. Now, we sent our military in there, and essentially took over their country, to build up IMF banking, and military bases. Some help!
Yeah, and what good are people's contributions out of their own pockets if it's just going to give the people talking bibles?
I see that you're one of those who believes that all the military is good for is war, that they couldn't possibly have any humanitarian missions. Pretty sad.
Again, more ignorant bullshit, you're quite a doltish fiend! I'm not talking about the Bibles, I'm talking cold hard cash, those Christians pony it up, but you do not. I assume you're just too busy in your free time making inane nonsensical jabber into a youtube video, or circle jerking in a bloodbath, some kind of bizarre ritualistic occult escapade. Quite a hullabaloo I imagine.
I don't assume anything about individuals serving in our military, you specifically said Government, noob!
Have I ever talked about people who send money directly? No. I'm talking about a specific fellowship that is sending out expensive talking solar-powered bibles to the people in Haiti. Get a clue. The people need necessities. Talking bibles are NOT a necessity
You get a clue, freak. Pat Robertson, and his kind, rant all you want, we will all agree.
Somebody from that church already wrote you, exposing you as a tool. You'll never learn. I'm glad I amuse you, you amuse me, like a carny geek who bites chicken heads does! "These devices are still in the U.S. being shipped out in small phases along with food, water, medical supplies, etc. They are NOT displacing ANY aid to these people who have suffered so much."
I actually wonder if they will be smart enough to take offense. If they really are illiterate it is the creationists dream for a chance like this to create more zombies.
Well, not really--this is more of an issue of spending a whole bunch of money for things that are certainly not necessities. Expensive solar-powered talking bibles are *not* necessities, food, shelter and first aid *are* necessities.
is that all they are going to do to help, or are they giving anything else to the cause? if all they are giving is books, then yea, that's extremely stupid.

I agree with kizzume on this one. Its nothing more than the imperialists ceasing an opportunity to promote their beliefs.

If more money is being spent on real relief--I can have a lot of respect for them.
