For such a hated and missunderstood band and friends and and Family.
The color of thee Icon Insignia Skull and Lighting Bolt.(from Bear and Late BOB THOMAS). A PROUD OWNER OF A SILVER BUCKLE!
ARE RED WHIT AND BLUE!
TONS OF GOSPEL SONGS! They give to many music and other charities. They Founded their own The Rex Foundation! They have been there for every world and us disasters!!
They made sure a country was able to compete in the Olympics LITHUANIAN THANK GOD FOR THE GRATEFULDEAD
I still wish the sbd version of this were up. Probably got copyright violation. I used to blast that one all the time. My friends would be picking their jaws off the floor.
How come they do everything they take on so bloody perfect? It's like all the Dylan songs and every other songs the dead covered, they are always close to perfection.
Gives me chills when they belt it out around 1:43 Im not an american so i dont have that connection to this song but they do it so good that it gets me moving.
Also, i love how they sort out the singing with Vince and Bob doing a very good performance along with Jerry aswell. Its like they we're born to do this.
Opening day, Bonds first game in the newly renovated Stick. Beautiful weather that day but sometimes it felt like winter. Nothing like taking the short cut through Hunters Point to get there. RIP Jerry and Vince.
Low resolution=will someone tell me what the red and yellow people in the background are doing..they seem to be sprouting up and down. Are those pyrotechnics coming out of their asses? Ok, I sense a West Coastie sense of humor, which I've no idea about, either!!
Hey pynch, aren't you glad you live in a country where you can say something so asinine and you don't spend the rest of your life breaking rocks for saying it?
During the national anthem, I have the right to salute the flag, stay seated during the anthem, read a newspaper during it, or thumb my nose at the flag. I pay my taxes on time... that's all I should be asked to do to honor America. If Inmyriver wants to honor America, he should join the Taliban.
I was at this game . It was the Marlins first ever away game . Tony Bennet was also there & sang "God Bless America" & "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" . Good Times .
I watched them that opening day on the TV. It was very hard to believe how good they made the song sound. As a DeadHead of sorts I was very proud of the boys. This version gives some testament to that but the vocals get drowned out a bit. Too bad the TV network version isn't available too.
It's ridiculous that the other version, from whatever stupid network this was on was taken down because it "violated terms of use." Give me a fucking break.
Hard song to sing for SURE

@shishimore not really... I didn't finish the quote properly. I was quoting Jerry's answer to a question about this performance

i wish the USA loved this anthem as much as Canada loves "oh canada"...have you seen the video from edmonton last year? goosebumpy!
however, the dead definitely did the song justice...

i don't know. the national anthem done right, can make me choke up.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
That song always makes me choke up--with the need to vomit. I came here to watch sports, not salute the flag.
