I like how the soloist keeps the melody very clean, smooth, solid and simple. This song doesn't need a lot of bright color and I'm happy to see that's understood here :)
Hate to break the streak of positive comments... but the arrangement is wrong. The first chord is supposed to be a minor chord, but this group sings it as a major chord.... sorry. Funny part is you got it right once the beatboxing starts in verse two. Other than that major error (haha, get it? Major error?) this was fantastic guys. Astounding dynamics, amazing soloist, and your beatboxer was phenomenal - he really knows how to accompany the song well.
holy crap, this is fricking awsome, only heard one other a capella, and it was to the song by jmme eat world, "my sundown", both good as hell if you ask me... good job guys...
i think i've listened to this version of the scientist at like 20 times. you guys do an amazing job with what happens to be my favorite song...ever. the leaders voice is like butter...so smooth..his control and pitch is perfect. well done!
Not bad, but I think I prefer the a Capella interpretations where they drone the notes instead of following the percussive feel of the original chord progression. It gives the song a more...melancholy/beautiful feel.
Quite good, it makes it easier with the microphones. I would like to see them performing with more rifle microphones and no hand-held microphones. A bit more skill is required for that.
Great voices and blending, and great lead singer. One comment though: I believe the first chord sung in the song is minor, however you sang it as major. I could be wrong though. Keep singing. It sounds great, guys!
Dave Chun in our group arranged it back in day. Glad you liked it. You should check out our new CD, it just came out! It's called "Brewed in the Attic"
Thanks so much! I definitely will :) Hi, I'm Becca, I'm a sophomore at Simmons College in Boston, and I'm the music director of the Sirens, our A Cappella group :) is your CD on the group's website, and/or acappella, com? thanks again :)

Oh man, too bad they got the chords wrong. The first chord is a D minor chord, not major. Oh man, that ruined it for me.

This sounds great on BOCA. If the lead was bad, it would ruin the song, which is definately not the case here. Great arrangement.
