This song is quite simple to understand. The guy's friend committed suicide and shot himself, whereas the girl's friend OD'd on some kind of injection. Both the boy and girl witnessed their friend die, and now they are pulling their weapons (will to change their lives) to their sides. The enemy, of course, is their past, which led up to their friends' suicide. They are trying to leave this behind.

I see the meaning of this song, It basically about both the girl & guy they witnessed their friends die right before their eyes by a murderer, killing them without mercy.

And now the 2 R grieving over them, however, they pull themselves together, finding the strength, loading their weapons to fight the ones who killed their friends.

That's what I see in this.

I believe the girl lost her friend to the needle and she was on drugs, too and even though her friend lost his life, she still craved dope.Its the nature of this terrible disease. Been there done that and thank God it's over! She wants out of the lifestyle and she feels the only way out is suicide but something clicks and she wants to live.
