  • This was taken from ITV's morning worship, does anyone else agree why is it the BBC''s Songs Of Praise always has old hyms and I doubt you would ever hear Seek Ye First The Kingdom Of God on that programme this lovely little hymn writen in 1972 sounds just perfect with the organ and congregation.

    ,

  • :-)

    I LOVE Wales :-)

    And Jesus :-)

God bless you all very much

  • This is how I like to hear my hymns not a lone singer but a whole church of honest people lifting there voices as one

  • @daddyblood Quite agree.

  • scribd (dot) com/nb812

  • You're both right, You HAVE to accept Jesus into your heart but that isn't the end, you have to try to live and be the best Christian you can be, Jesus knows we're sinners, all he asks is that we try.

  • Matthew 6:33 states, "But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Anyone knows where is it ? Have anyone found it ?

Don't know the answer ? Ask me.

  • Jesus Alone Can Save

  • Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.

*** Meaning NOT every christians can enter the Kingdom of God.

  • Well, not all those claiming to be Christians, right?

  • Ahmm, does all christians call Jesus LORD ?

  • @netelsg

No, a christian is someone who accepts Christ as his/her savior. But asking Christ to save them, then they are automatically allowed in heaven, no matter what.

The verse means that people can believe that God is Lord, love and serve him also but if they do not ask Jesus Christ to be their saviour, then they are still going to hell

  • No. Read this then and you will know why.

    Philippians 2-12

Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,

Meaning everyone, whether you're christians or non-christaians, must work out his or her own salvation.

Meaning salvation does not depend on whether you ask Jesus as saviour or not.

  • @netelsg

Work out = Accept Jesus as saviour.

Don't be fooled, all you need to do is ask him..

  • No, don't anyhow interpret "work out".

When you call Jesus as LORD LORD, you have already accepted Jesus as Saviour.

Who are you trying to fool ?

  • @netelsg What are you talking about?! And no, I can say "Jesus is LORD LORD" 20000 times a day, but that won't do anything. I have to pray something like, "Jesus, i know I am a sinner and that I need to be saved. I know that Jesus died for me and was raised from the dead, and I ask that you will come into my heart to be my saviour. Amen."

  • No, you still cannot enter the Kingdom of God.

Read John 3:5-8 : Jesus answered, "Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and spirit, he can't enter into the Kingdom of God!

To enter the Kingdom of God, one must be born of spirit; not because you do the pray.

  • @netelsg

That was BEFORE Jesus. Listen to yourself... "Jesus answered". Jesus didn't die yet.

  • Still cannot enter the Kingdom of God.

  • If Work Out = Accept Jesus as Saviour, then the verse should be :-

    Philippians 2-12

Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--"accept me as your saviour for your salvation."

It's a sin to change the words in the Bible which is the word of God.

  • hey netelsg.....please don't take it as a competetion, but being more closer to the truth.

What do u think about John 14:6 in which Jesus says "I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one

comes to the Father EXCEPT THROUGH ME."

  • The answer is in Luke 17

"...once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you."

  • Great. Have you found it ?

In the gospel of Thomas, Jesus says the Kingdom of God is both within and outside of you.

  • Page 590 Complete Mission Praise, the book that brought music like this into churches today, Thank You for posting this great video.

  • I love these types of videos! :) And the song ♥

  • "WE SANG this in primary skool and the hall was slit in 2 half sang the "Allelulie" bit over and over and the other half sang the verses it sounded Great"

We did this at my primary school too! Am a Muslim, bu the theme of this hymn is still congruous with the teachings of Islam.

  • When I sing this hymn at my church all the males sing the verse and all the females sing alleluia. It sounds great!

  • I'm Protestant from Peking of China, When I first time heared this hymn from US's friends to bring .以馬内利(Emanuel )

  • WE SANG this in primary skool and the hall was slit in 2 half sang the "Allelulie" bit over and over and the other half sang the verses it sounded Great :D

  • i'm a catholic. everythime i hear this song i will cry. i can feel the presence of Jesus.

  • Very nice church! I'm a Catholic and I really wish people would all sing like this when a hymn is being sung.

  • We sing this in Ohio, too. One of my favorites.

  • Beautiful. Look at the faces and into the hearts as the congregation sings. I would give anything to belong to a church like this.

  • Its Anglican. Church In Wales. Take a look at the church website to find out more.

  • Beautifully sung in what is a beautiful church. We sing this hymn quite often where I attend church here in Waterford, Ireland.

  • This looks to me to be Anglican.

Incidentally, I'm a Catholic and yes, we are Christians.

  • (Funny how sooooooooo many people dont understand the fact that us Roman Catholics *ARE* Christians too!!! Thanxz 4 pointing that out to everyone!

  • Catholic is anti-christ, not truth church

  • And yet Christ started the Catholic Church, and the Catholic Church is the only religion on the face of the planet that can rightfully claim that.

  • stunning magnificent:)
