I just realized, at around 4:10 I turned on my Subspace Field Modulator, which protects against many types of damage, but lowers your proton damage resistance. Saleen was using Antiproton weapons.

I feel like an idiot now.

That weapon that hit you at about 4:00 was an Antiproton Beam Array. From the looks of the beams, your opponent was running a Vice Admiral cruiser? In terms of raw power, It's the strongest beam array you can attain. When a cruiser "broadsides" with 4 of those babies while popping a weapons battery, it can be positively devastating.
