  • I'm still amazed by PS1. How Tekken 3, Final Fantasy VIII and IX could run on it I have no idea. It wouldn't have even been able to run anything past DOS!

4mb ram. 286 processor! 33 Mhz. It's insane! Sitting here now using 3,000 Mhz and 8,000 Mb. o_O

  • i need help, when i was a kid i played the demo disk and it had a good game of like an orange skeleton thing on a mission at a graveyard and i need the name of the game, it's soo good plz help me, can u tell me the names of all demo games so i can look for it??

  • @LADYGAGAPUERTORICO

    Medievil?

  • Thanks for the upload I was trying to find which was the first Demo 1 to buy as I'm collecting all the PS1 original 1995 black and yellow packaging. The console doesn't have the demo disk :( so now I've got the sces-00120 serial number I can get one..

My first Playstation was a grey boxed value pack (xmas 96 I think) as I was still at school in '95 and couldn't afford one at launch, I really regretted that so want to catch up on what I missed out on back then.. Cheers :D

  • Does anyone know the music track off loaded from this cd?

  • This demo melts me. nostalgia. This was the time when games were perfect. Cool, simple, hellafun.

  • SONY KICKED ASS in 1995 !

  • Hi all

Does anyone know this game. I've been searching for it months but without luck.

You control a robo-bug and crawling on buildings and so. At the end, you meet a giant robo-spider and need to destroy it. I had it on a demo disc, but can't remember the name of the game

  • 01:50 i think its trying to say welcome to playstation hell

  • I'm looking for some sort of PS1 demo disc that might have been released with the console. I remember there was a Croc 1 and PaRappa demo on it along with some diving game that had a giant eel in a sunken ship. Help me find this please.

  • trying to look for this demo for ps1,can someone help me?

It was a fighting game where on the demo you could only play as two charecters,Brad and Milienna (spelt wrong) and the special moves were fireballs and things like that.It came on the same demo disc as Fighting Force 2 and Mission Impossible.

  • i realy want the D1 Demo agian.. cant find my old one :s

    - or can you make a video where u shows the previews and V-CD?

  • @DjViWoToy Go to snesorama forums PS1 master list.

  • @xan1242 I was checking for this demo too. Thanks for the information mate. :)

  • Anyone remember how it sounded when you crashed on ESPN Extreme Games?

    BAAH!

  • I searched for 'Demo1' and it came up with all these videos that weren't the same demo1 I had. This is the disc that I still have a copy of somewhere, complete with music. Thank you for this upload!

  • Actyally i have older version of D1 than you. It has ridge racer and jumping flash in Preview section. Serial number is: SCES-00048

  • Ca en fait remonter des souvenirs :'(

  • so many memories its untrue.....the excitement of all this new graphichs, sound an everything...i was mesmerized!

what was that demo where you could look at a a t rex and a sting ray in a 3d model kinda thing? anyone kno what im onna bout?

  • This… oh God.

Why is it so good? It just looks so amazing.

Effort… the music, the sound effects. The interfaces. And I don't have "nostaligia goggles" on -- the 90's really was the best decade.

I only wish I got to enjoy it a lot more.

  • I've been trying to look for a certain game for years. Its a 2d rocket game that you can play multiplayer and have battles. I'm pretty sure it was on a disk with other homebrew games. There was a zombie avoidance game that was kind of like a maze and I think a game with babies in it and you had to collect more babies to progress. If you could tell me the name of the rocket game I would appreciate it.

  • @Xxp00nxX

Sounds like you're talking about a Net Yaroze game called Blitter Boy: Operation Monster Mall. Search my videos.

  • @Xxp00nxX ommmmggg, i was looking for the exact sme game, still am

  • I think this is the worst menu music I've ever heard in my life. Awesome games though.

  • thanx 4 the post good stuff

  • 1 guy click the wrong button.....or he's never play a psx games!

  • ach warn das geile Zeiten! wie ich die vermisse :( bekomm ja richtig gänsehaut wenn ichs video anschau :D back to the roots ;)

  • what was that 1 where you were walking and had to dodge traps and it looked like that bla bla bla song???

  • You need to fix the description a bit. This demo disc was released in 1995, not 1994 (December 3, 1994 was the PlayStation's Japanese and original release date; it wasn't released in Europe until September 29, 1995). Ridge Racer and Air Combat are not playable demos, they're rolling demos. And one more thing, add the videos and other contents featured on this disc.

  • @SicksTeaPhoarAlt

    Thanks for the information.

  • The demo disc that came with my PS had Armored Core and Aqua Reef on it. I wish I could find a video of that one.

  • D1 is the best demodisc never created !

  • When I had my Ps1, I had like 70 demo disks and 6 full games

  • I came buckets seein this the first time , all I had seen before were nintendo 8-bits so actually be able to go 3D in wipeout was orgasmic! and the kickass music and the fighting effects, everything was just so awsome...

  • This whole demo basically screamed: ''Sega, prepare to be murdered!''

Seriously, it's narrow, but I think the PlayStationero Uno was slightly more revolutionary than it's bigger brother.

  • An epic rave background, some awesome rave music, a bunch of kickass games, buckets of nostalgia and a massive flashing start button! What's not to like?

  • Still have it in its original package loll. Kind of thing you keep safe as it would be the holy grail XD (when ur a sentimental gamer ;))

  • the music really tells you that you bought the ultimate kickass console!

  • mines black

  • good times

  • My one broke :(

  • I had the very same demo disk. I would appreciate it if someone could upload a disk rip.

  • OMFG this brings back so many childhood memories.... oh the innocence...

  • Awesome! I got that demo, too! Love the music!!!

  • I wish Sony would remake the Tech-Demos and the V-CD to celebrate the PSone's 15th Anniversary for PS3.

  • whats the name of the game (its on one of the demos) where the level changes/rotates everytime you get a power-up and its two players against the computer its tight. one of the powe-up that you can get are gravity boots thats the only one i remember.

  • @ChiChiRodriguez1

The Game is called Jumping flash i think it's called.

  • @ChiChiRodriguez1 I think you mean Blast Chamber. That demo was on the Interactive Sampler Disc 3.

  • CoooooooooooooooooooooL

  • For some reason, my EU PSX came with this Demo instead of the European Demo1...

Bought it about 2 weeks after the thing came out I think, I was only 7 lol

  • mine too man, got that shit in like sept 95 I was 7 years old aswell.

  • strangely i remember this demo also although i had the EU version...i think we got this a while later wen we bought a game.

  • @TysoeJ

Well, this demo disc still is European. And by the sounds of it, you actually owned the earlier PlayStation. I own the first ever PlayStation released in Europe (SCPH-1002) and mine came with a demo similar to this (SCES-00048). It had the same intro sequence, same music and same background, but lesser games and videos. Unfortunately, I don't have it anymore, but you can just type in "PlayStation Demo 1 - Version 1" to see what I mean.

  • this was the first demo 1 released with the ps1 in 1995

    ESPN Extreme Games FTW!

  • Kick Ass! I remember coming home to a friend, he just bought a Playstation and I needed to watch the games... first game was Mortal Kombat 3 ( no introduction needed ). Blew my fucking mind! Tekken, Ridge Racer, Jumping Flash, Wipeout and Mortal Kombat 3 was the shit!!!

  • Riiidddggee Racerrr!

  • @Amechaninwonderland not on that disc :(

  • AWESOME! btw, what does "D1 Version" mean? And where can I get the earliest ones? I got my playstation around summer 1996 brand new so I would have had the disc for that particular model right? Anyone know where I can get these things?! Thanks for uploading this dude, takes me back!

  • While the demo is loading, it says "D1". I'm not entirely sure why, but I think it's just the title of the disc.

  • it was probably a production working title that they just left in

  • @ACRetro Pretty sure it just means Demo1. I think sometimes it glitched for me because i remembered it coming up with something else at one time... I think it was just d1 with lines going diagonally (bottom left to upper right) across the screen.

  • @ACRetro d1 means its the first developers demo disk

  • @fordxbgtfalcon

    Thanks for the information!

  • does anyone know who did the music for this and where onemight get it?? awesome 90s trip man, this really takes me back, damn i really need to get this demo disc again!

  • 1/2 hour ago I had that music in my head for some reason, took me 2 mins to figure out where it was from and then I trawled youtube to find it, I just HAD to hear it again! Nice one, thanks :-)

  • Omg i still have the CD, i play it sometimes, good memories ... shit i could cry

  • best menu and tune ever

  • omg this game brings me back so many memories i want 90s back!!

  • Hey does anyone know the name of this game. It was on one of the first playstation one demo discs. you are like a beach ball rolling around on blocks doing puzzles and collecting keys and stuff and avoiding obstacles. If anyone knows the name of this game i would very much appreciate it.

  • kula world

  • I loved this demo...and i love the song! xD

    i wish i could have it....xD

  • best demo disc ever

  • holy shit!! i remember that song!! haha, I humd that song @ school when I was like 10. LoL

  • This used to scare me when I was younger for some random reason, must've been the flash of some random doode's face at the start. But now I love this because of the memories XD

  • my dad still got this in the original box! Big memory hormark!

  • Weird... at 0:54, scaring children faces lool

  • i think i remember this disk and it's music,

only once though, during a fete.

  • Oh man, I miss the PSX. The loading screen literally gave me chills and filled me with the days of me being like 8 playing those games. DAMN I loved that thing.

  • i always loved the fancy ps-demo-intros.

  • i thought the ps1 came out in 1996

  • i think my brother was one of the very first lot to get a PSX in England, my dad went over to the US for work and bought him one 5 days after it was first released in the US, it was so futuristic when we first saw the games...

now it must be like a kid from the 80's playing a 5200 then playing a new sega, or PSX

  • Nice music!
