I didn't make the video because I thought this was some cool high scoring strategy. It was a strategy I came up with for getting through the game the easiest way. I'm actually playing this on a Japanese system with a japanese game one week after the release aprox. There weren't many strategies or videos of high level play posted on the net. I put up a nice video and posted it on GameFAQs. Years later I noticed that the video was still sought for on GameFAQs. =D
I use that strategy alot too... it just takes awhile to make that stub if you dont know how. Took me around 3 days to make stubs to start the chain consistently. but then in later level when the line depleter goes slower and your pieces drop faster, that strategy gets really awful
Add: You don't need the massive combos in this strategy, much better, you have the single color bonus quite often, so you get a lot of points. I even managed to, with some modifications to it, arrange for some wipeout bonuses (10.000 points) once in a while.
A nice set-up. But as stated below, not very good for making big multipliers and massive combos. Still, a very good strategy. As long as you have fast thumbs for higher levels, when the speed is insane, you can carry on a game for as long as you want. Kudos!
What the fuck is the big deal about this game? everywhere I look everyone is hyping lumines, WTF man, it just looks like tetris to me. I didn't buy a psp to play a game which could run on a NES.
That's actually my video! =D

I was trying this out and had trouble getting it from squares into the L shaped stub. How do you get from the start to the L-shaped stub?

The infinate towers... easy to do, but they don't net you any points. see how it's all one at a time? no goood

You can max the score out doing it though. If you're going for a time record to hit max score then yeah, it's no good.
