hydroplaning is really dangerous...it happened to me! i was driving this toyota camry 2004 about 40km/h down hill and there is this round about and the audi stopped suddenly in front of me....i started braking from 40m distance....the stupid didnt even engage ABS..all the wheel locked up and i crashed into this audi a4...toyota was really damaged and the audi only had a big scratch and the rear is a bit out of shape...fuk i hate toyota camry worst car ever...

DSC saved your life yet your recording a video while driving? Your a total moron. You will crash eventually, I promise you that. Anybody who engages in such careless driving deserves to believe that DSC will save their life regardless of how badly they drive.
I actually put a new battery about 6 months ago. But Guess what.... I just found out that the rotors in the front were very warped and that was causing the sensor to go off. So I changed the rotors and pads, cleaned the abs sensors just in case, and problem is gone.
@TigerOscar78 You'll have to check your ABS sensors - this is the most common failure. But, when BRAKE and DSC light comes on after hard braking, I suggest checking your battery (recharge it or replace with new one). When voltage in battery goes under 11,5 V, DSC and ABS are automatically off - then you have BRAKE and DSC failure warning in your instrument cluster...
So what we have here is a youthful driver speeding over 100 mph in an expensive car, in techerous rainy conditions, blasting very distracting techno music, holding a video recorder in one hand, on a public highway.
And the award for safest driver of the year goes to........
...not to mention the award for the shittiest video quality ever in the history of youtube...christ if you can afford a BMW, spend a few bucks on a video camera that doesn't suck complete ass.
the only time I ever leave dsc on is when its raining or snowing. if its nice out... i turn that garbage off. theres been so many times where DSC kicked in, and almost caused something bad to happen. I hate it
But Mercedes ESP is even MORE intrusive. On a dry day, i came off a sharp exit ramp at a measly 28 mph, the ESP applied FULL BRAKING FORCE to the front wheels, causing my coffee (which was in the cup holder) to spill all over the center console, and fucked up my shift lever module causing a $250 repair. In short, fuck stability control lol.

I do believe they do help the car keep its composure during REAL emergency manuevers, but i just wish these systems had a higher threshold until they intervened. I see no reason for electronic stability control to be activating itself at a speed below 30 mph.

the only time I ever leave dsc on is when its raining or snowing. if its nice out... i turn that garbage off. theres been so many times where DSC kicked in, and almost caused something bad to happen. I hate it

But Mercedes ESP is even MORE intrusive. On a dry day, i came off a sharp exit ramp at a measly 28 mph, the ESP applied FULL BRAKING FORCE to the front wheels, causing my coffee (which was in the cup holder) to spill all over the center console, and fucked up my shift lever module causing a $250 repair. In short, fuck stability control lol.

wow, thats terrible. I really think all of these stupid drivers aids are unsafe for the most part. I remember one time I was merging onto a highway from the shoulder and I go and floor it and DSC kicked in and my car literally wouldnt go anywhere for about a second. What if a car was coming and I really needed to floor it?

@whygodrums10 , yeah they're surprisingly hazardous "aids". I do believe they do help the car keep its composure during REAL emergency manuevers, but i just wish these systems had a higher threshold until they intervened. I see no reason for electronic stability control to be activating itself at a speed below 30 mph.

First, I don't see the great danger. I've driven no electronics car @150kph in horrible rains through serious corners. Need good tires. Second, if DSC *really* saved your life, good for you. Maybe next time it'll be the airbags, who knows.
