  • Ive been in various bands throughout the years and ive always made it a point to have fly on a windshield in every set,it never fails to get every headanging.the secret to this song live is a powerful bass and hard hitting snare

  • @knowur10sand18s Great comment!

  • Yes echo the sentiments, judging by MarkWastie's comments, I must have been 20 coz I am 48 now!! Remember how crap talk talk were, and waiting all day in the pouring rain. Worth waiting for though! Left just before "the knife" at the end - how stupid was that!!! Shame there is no footage.

  • i'll never forget the suspense of waiting for them to come on ...the intro was back in n.y.c lasted for ten minutes b4 they took the curtain away

  • i was there !!!

  • I was there to, with my mate Dave.

It was very wet and very muddy.

I was 18, now 46 and remember, is was just fantastic.

  • my dad was there - told me it was one of the best nights of his life.

  • I agree and was there all day, totally pissed down with rain. So sorrry no proper video has ever surfaced.....

  • i have whole concert on cd

  • Who is Phil Collins????

  • Peter Gabriel lost a lot of money putting on the WOMAD (World of Music Arts and Dance) Festival at Shepton Mallett and as a result Genesis reformed to help bail out the investment. As it turns out the festival later became quite successful. I was at the Gabriel show in Shepton Mallett and it was the time of the release of Peter Gabriel 4 "Shock the Monkey"etc

  • was,nt this the concert that they bailed peter out of the crap cos he owed a lot of money out to bad peeps..not sure, somebody please correct me if i,m wrong.it was something to do with a music festival he set up.

  • Not being able to see the live video doesn`t it make it even more special and out of this world music and best Rock band of all time ? Close you`re eyes and use you`re imagination i`m sure it will be even better !!!

  • There have always been rumours. At one time I heard a rumour that the BBC held a copy of the full Lamb in concert live from 1975. I definitely remember seeing at least one pro-camera on the stage at that gig though, and I was right on the front row. Stood for 11 and a half hours in the rain to make sure of that :)

  • There WERE Cameras on this Concert, and as well all know, Queen were also at Milton Keynes, that was recorded as well, or lets say, published.

I heard that Peter Gabriel has the complete Concert on one of his VHS Copys...

    Wonder if thats true

  • @illegalalien2 , Peter Gabriel WOULD have awesome footage of either the Lamb or this concert locked up in his basement somewhere and refuse to release it to the public. I get the vibe from him that he dislikes his past with Genesis for whatever reason. It's a shame really, but I don't think he realizes how awesome Genesis was with him.

  • it is amazing how little footage and audio that exists from then . . . now, every instant is recorded, and 1982 to me is not really that long ago

i guess the labels or bands were really against it then for some reason, i think they really missed out in hindsight

  • @ClarkRecordsLLC yeah 82 is not that long ago as videos go.. its a shame for what ever the reason there is not much footage of them

  • I am also a huge Queen fan, and had the opportunity to go to this gig or to see Queen at the same venue within about a month I think it was. I still don't regret it as I ahve the full HD video of the Queen gig sitting in my cupboard, but not one video has ever surfaced from this gig even though I seem to remember there being videos going on the stage. I was right at the front...

  • @dowdalli you are correct. According to what i've read it was filmed by at least one pro camera standing atop a scaffolding tower, the audio was being recorded below and there may have been at least 3 pro cameras. This was told by a witness who claimed with certainty to be standing behind the cameraman on that tower. Hopefully one day that video will finally surface

  • What was really amazing was having the double drum genius of Phil & Chester with the power of Gabriel on the vocals. When Steve turned up at the end, the bowl erupted.

  • Yes, eleven and a half hours in the rain, but when the band came on the rain disappeared. Still the most magical evening of my life (well at least up there with the birth of my 3 boys & my marriage night). Only band that has ever come close to that magical performance was Radiohead - again in the rain. Oddly enough forgot that they played this one. I remember Gabriel being carried on in a coffin to the heartbeat of Back in NYC. Absolutely mesmerizing, :)

  • Not the same band without Steve Hackett. Daryl Stuermer couldn't carry Steve's guitar pick, let alone play his guitar parts.

  • I have goosebumps - the last time some of these songs were performed by the band I'm sure-- I have to have this

  • I was there and it pissed down with rain all day. However if was a wonderful, atmospheric gig, would not have missed it for the world. No video exists I have been reliably informed.

  • where the hell did this come from???????????/ i want it

  • @Redliner500 was there actually any video of this concert?

  • Man oh man wasn't that fun!
