I am on a hunt to find a good product. I am a stylist and do locs. I use twist n loc gel. I saw yesterday that it doesn't leave a sheen and the scalp looks dull. So I have to go behind it and use a ton of botanical oils. Is this normal? I like them to shine like I see other locs. Maybe I should try the dreadbutter?? I'll try and look it up. Tight work!!

my dreads are about 16-17 inches long. however a few years back i was getting my dreads twisted every two weeks, that did a a number on my roots. now my dreads are thin at the root, i tend to get retwisted every two months now, is there anything i can do to save my dreads.
