The theme of the movie is like this:

i watch this three times and i am from sri lanka,every day the cinema has been full house and balcony is early boked. this is the film of the year in Sri lanka and its a box office.I like this movie bcoz,Surinder loves Tani as it is and SRK creates dummy (RAJ)to get close to Tani and then slowly show her how surinder loves her,so RAJ protects surinder and finaly she identifies surinders love,and surinder dominated in the whole movie,and finaly the marrage is continuing with love.

To thetruth786110: the both SRK Characters had 2 very different looks...if i place them in real life situation...i wouldn't say they are the same person..Suri so geecky and Raj so Loud..plus she doesnt even look at Suri as much as she dances close with Raj! For once they made a double act so believable. I reckon that we should give the whole team a pat on their shoulders for such an amazing movie! Even my multi racial friends thought it was a good effort!

i dont think it was stupid..just living with some1 doesnt mean you know the person, not even exactly what they looklike!she married the guy in circumstances not exactly happy and given a choice she wouldnt even be with him and you dont exactly give some1 you associate with the bad incidetns of your life, enough attention, to recognise them, esp. with a makeover and in situations you dont expect them to be in (a dance institute and a bike here)

..if you notice all she does is makes him breakfast and dinner and sits on one end of the table, with her head down and eat quietly, with minimal conversation..she hardly even looks at him..i dont see any reason she should recignize him with that different a look and the contrasting personality!!

lol!.yeah..SRK said that this is something ppl might find hard to digest..and i'm not saying you'r completely wrong in thinking that way..but i just thought i'll let you know why i thought it makes sense..as much as i know about the way human memory works, its a combination of many things, not just how often you see a person, but also how much importance you give to that person..coz lets face it, your brain can't keep ALL the info it ever comes across in its lifetime!.
