@gracko14 The only way I can properly explain this to you is after Bolt beats his old World Record, but in the mean time my American friend (Im naturally assuming your American) I'll have to do my best. Usain Bolt has an injury, nothing more nothing less. He could barely run under 10 seconds against Tyson so he decided to call it a day for the rest of this year. If your under the impression that Usain Bolt (age 23) has no career left then im afraid im gonna have to taunt you upon his return!!

@gracko14 Bolt's finished? Are you kidding? He had a slight back injury this year which prevented him from being able to use his entire stride length, and considering this year was Bolt's "year off" he didn't take his training as serious either. Gay didn't even make the Olympic final due to an injury, was he finished? No. You clearly don't now anything about athletics if you really expect any sprinter to be in top form for there entire career.

@rocketgirl196 If the wind is high to a point that it helps the runner in his race, then he is at an unfair advantage in comparison to the original world record. Anything higher than 2.0 m/s winds is considered too high.

if you watch all the recent vids of gay racing INSANE bolt, since the olympics. INSANE has broken his records since then right. and tyson has always been in second. right. watch all the vids of them racing recently, tyson isnt that far behind. he look like he's broken all of INSANES previous set records. pretty impressive all in all. watch the vids closely, and youll know what im saying

Looking at the races it may not seem that far but look at the times. 200m- Tyson Gay best time is 19.58 and Bolt 19.19, 100m- Gay TIES Bolt 2nd best 9.69 and Bolt best 9.58...Trust me ask anybody who does track or know abou track and they will tell you for such short distances those times are very far apart.

In reality, however, if you take a look at the 2008 Olympic trials, Tyson ran 9.5 seconds, you have to pause the video and take a look at the clock just when Tyson's body crossed the line, is of enormous proportions! And I know many will hate me for saying this, but I think Tyson has the power to beat Usain Bolt, no doubt!

And long legs do not give you better starts as you have more to move than a person with shorter legs. Also Usain Bolt is only 22 years old, he hasn't reached his peak yet where as tyson gay is 28 which means he's in his physical prime. To finish off when was the last time Gay beat Bolt? ASAFA POWELL has the best sprinting form in athletics today not GAY! The only other sprinter i've seen with a better form is Donovan Bailey......Tyson (or anyone else) can beat Bolt in a race, its called sports ppl!!! There are two things on our faces known as eyes, they are used for observing our surroundings. Now PLZ uses these next time you decide to watch Bolt in action. He doesn't have the best start of all the runners in his races!!!!
He actually had to work HARD, A LOT on his "starts" prior to the Olympics!

Bolt has a height advantage ,this is an average height super fast sprinter ,he is faster than bolt ,bolt just has the advantage of a better start than him due to his long legs launching him off the blocks and giving him the ability to relax b4 the finish line cuz for the last 20m or so he just needs a few strides to get to the finish line.
