This was probably our only 'exciting' game against Chelsea in the Mourinho era. After this our games were boring, we just set out to cancel eachother out-even in the FA Cup final. This was so vital though-beating the 1-0 masters at their own game.

What a video! you;ve done reaaaaly well with this match. especially cos it was very crucial, media writing us off, crisis in the club, team in huge transition, and lads like Alan Smith in CDM and Fletcher as RM really stepping up to the plate for this one. Great game and start of our revival for that season as we went on to run a very good Chelsea side close. :)

I remember this like it was yesterday! This was the pivotal turning point for United, if you examine United's point tally after this match and in the second half of that season it started to surpass that of chelsea's even though Chelsea were crowned champions that year (with an emphatic win against us at the bridge), United's form carried on to the next season where as we all know they went on to become champions.
